Maybe the key to bringing the loot back is too pîśś everyone off so much that we all quit, then there would be plenty of inactive bases to go around, aha

Evidently the pink elephant is the elixir option in upgrading walls. We already know by upgrading walls it is a resource sink. Initially with only gold being the option, it allowed too much elixir to accumulate (after troops were upgraded). This is not exactly a bad thing since that extra elixir can be raided and 'shared' amongst the players and allow it to circulate within the economy. By providing the option for elixir to be used upgrading walls it breaks the natural chain of resource distribution / circulation. People may say the same about gold but what many did not realize (before the update) is how much more elixir is used cumulatively when playing (Troop, Spells, Troop upgrade, Clan Wars, Donations, Barracks costs, defense ammo). Gold is just for upgrading defenses, nexting and re-arming traps so it made sense to let it also upgrade walls back then. In a nutshell, elixir is the life blood of this game, allowing it to be used in a resource sink (walls) is an extreme way to deplete a form of resource which was once overly abundant (for benefit of game economy).
Obviously trying to reverse this may not be an option.I would propose allowing elixir the option to upgrade walls only if the players storage has 50 % (TH10) 75% (Th9) 75% (Th8) somewhere along those lines (some one who can crunch the numbers help me out here) so that it always has to surpass the cap. This in turn will still provide storages worth raiding and thus everyone has a chance to make a profit and will see a lot more available loot in each base when searching bases.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...there needs to be a level playing field. There are definitely players out there who even now are consistently getting offered good loot. Yet there are clearly plenty of us who aren't. I don't for one second believe this is a dumb luck thing.
If i was constantly seeing great loot I would dismiss the rest of us as a bunch of whiners, too, but in reality it's like there are two different games...one with a select few who get good loot, one with the rest of us who essentially can't play anymore unless we pay.
So people who are seeing loot, stop telling us we are in the wrong spot, too picky etc etc, because we cant loot what we dont see. I have tried 6 leagues, it is the same in each. I next over 100 times. I see no bases that would return a profit on the army needed to loot them, be it barchers or gowipe. Understand how frustrating that is?
I could live with the loot issues more easily if everyone was in the same boat, but we are not. It's got nothing to do with where you are league wise...if you are getting good loot on offer you get it pretty much everywhere, if you are seeing no loot in gold, you'll see none in crystal or masters either. I've tried. So have plenty of others.
As it is, for those of us who arent seeing any loot, there is no longer any enjoyment to be had, no matter which path you try and take. Farming? I cant farm what isnt there, and nexting literally hundreds of times to go backwards is nobody's idea of fun.
Ok then, farming's a bust...lets do a push. But there's no elixir around to fund the armies...not even enough for barchers most of the time.
So...clan wars then? That delivers another massive elixir loss that can't made back.
Elix is the lifeblood of the game. If you cant build an army to loot it, then the gold is worthless. Elix for walls was clearly a monumental disaster. For the love of mike, reverse it already instead of refusing to admit the mistake and 'looking into' some other solution that will plug one hole but probably create another.
maybe if SC did something with single player, it would somehow help. Every day or every 3 days or every week (at the most, the loot on the single player resets. that way people can still get gold and elix but not so much that it would get unbalanced/exploited. The single player campaign gives more than decent loot if you finish while also requiring you to do some work yourselves and upgrade your troops to get the higher loots.
it would also give people something to do while waiting for the next builder but do not have the time to create troops and raid.
what do you guys think? i think this is one of the most simple solutions that might help the economy.
side note: i think im doing this on the wrong thread. for that, i apologize.
I absolutely love this game and the update with the walls. But, since the update I have had a very, very difficult time finding loot. I've tried dropping trophies, going up to crystal 1 and all the way down to gold 2. It's frustrating and makes the game not as enjoyable. I think the problem is is everyone is spending there gold and elixir on walls now. Which makes for saving up for anything a nightmare. And the worst part is when I do have any loot I get raided the second I get off. Is there any vision for changing this or making the raid bonuses higher? Because that would be very very appreciated.
Combined, I've been playing about 4-5 months and im a nearly maxed th8. 2 months ago, loot was great. I loved seeing my game progression. Today, i counted 157 searches at 1725 trophies, and got 100k of each as my best raid. Now, with inactive bases being pushed back in the search queue, its impossible to upgrade anything more than 2mil. I am considering quitting or not playing until they fix this.
Yea the latest update, though good, is like a slow-working poison they added into the game. The effects won't appear right off the bat but now people are realizing that it's getting harder and harder to farm and finding that good base to raid. Basically what I'm doing to cope with this is farming Cups to get into the higher league and winning to receive the amazing league bonuses. I mainly try and find people with their TH's outside their bases.
