I don't think its a question of wanting things easy. its just not profitable. I can get loot, but there is not enough in a given base to cover the troop cost. I have tried just doing cheap barch to get outlying resources (works once in a while) and coming heavy to gut the storages in the middle of a fat and maxed th10. The latter gets a big payout but the attack still costs more. So net profit has gotten to be pretty tough for any of my bases at different levels. They do need get the economy corrected.
War purses don't pay for the expense either.
The only thing that is profitable is to sign in every few hours to clear storages, and then leave. Don't bother playing the game. But that gets to.... why play the game? A lot have walked away for these reasons. For myself its just so much habit and the work building up these bases back when they had the economy working ok.
Not asking for freebies, or even easy, but right now its ridiculous,

How is having to press the next button over and over and over and over a good thing? Because that is the issue we're discussing here.
We are not talking about the difficulty of going up against inferno towers, x-bows, and max walls. We are talking about available loot and how many times we have to press the next button to find it.
Oh, just noticed you are a TH7. Never mind lol
TH7's and other little villagers saying that loot is okay. Gets me everytime.
Exaggerating the situation isn't an argument, and neither is added a stupid addendum in order to give yourself something to rebuke.
It sounds like you might have lucked out, it happens to us all. But by and large... there is an abundance of loot available out there. I'm still encountering abandoned bases with full collectors/mines, and there are plenty of people hoarding resources. I had a wonderful experience in the paste week, and I could not keep up troop production with the amount of great bases for raiding last night.
You expect to be a top dog in a couple weeks? You can choose to settle for smaller raiders, and reducing the number of troops used to ensure a profit. The problem is with you, wanting a huge payout each time.
I can't agree with Xizeta more.
I see several of you don't seem to agree with what he's saying. It's too bad you guys are having so much trouble finding loot.
I'm TH8 and have NO trouble finding bases with PLENTY of loot to grab. I've spent the last few weeks (since the last update) experimenting at different trophy levels (from sub 200 up to 1800) to see where I have the best time finding those bases with great potential and huge loot to grab and I've found what seems to me like a never ending supply of perfectly raidable bases between 1100 and 1300. This past week, that's been my sweet spot. I've raked in in the neighborhood of several to 10 mil each of gold and elixir.. I found and grabbed a good amount of DE but not as much as if I was at a higher trophy range like you guys already know, but then, DE hasn't been my primary target.
I'm finding so much loot that I'm able to start 3-4, heck, all 5 of my builders are constantly busy upgrading my defenses, etc. I pretty much have little to 0 downtime to start my next troop/spell upgrade when the current one finishes.. I haven't yet maxed out my storages because I'm efficient at keeping my builders doing their thing and when they're all busy for the week, I raid enough to start my next few upgrades as the builders finish, however I haven't actually tried to max my storages really, not yet. I doubt I'd have trouble, however, with how much loot I'm easily finding, so I'll probably do that soon just for the fun of it... hopefully some of the loot starved folks out there can find me and raid me and take several hundred thousand to calm them down for a short while... at least until the inner greed and entitlement comes lashing back out (Oh I had to next 25,000 times today, yada, yada)... Kudos for not giving up I guess but if it's sooooo miserable, why don't you put your iphone/pod/pad/android, whatever, down for a bit and do something else? Maybe it's just a bad time of day for you. Even I have times where I don't find many great bases to raid. I choose not to drive myself batpoop crazy by continuing to search when there's nothing to find. I do something else for a few hours and try later and come back to find what I'm looking for.
Be smart people, try different things, different trophy levels, etc... there are ways to find what you're looking for but complaining that there's a drought, when there isn't necessarily, isn't a good way to improve anything for yourself.
After saying all that, if you still want to be all BAH HUMBUG, please make sure you put all your collectors, drill(s), mines and storages outside your walls before you Rage quit from the game.
Cheers!
