horrific update 1 - the loot system update last December. 10% of up to 4 million does not work. It has never worked. Your data may show more loot than ever before, but its because you now have a 'few' rich ppl living amongst 'MANY' poor ppl (aka the bases with 50k loot). You blind ppl with big shiny 400k bases, but the majority of bases are poorer than ever. Hence, NEXT, NEXT, NEXT...

15% of up to 2 million would help this situation a lot.

horrific update 2 - lix for walls. How could you not see this coming? Lix is gone. Can't find it. And when we do find a base with a lot of it, we can't get it, cuz we could only afford a BARCH attack.

Well done, SC. You are killing your game from your stubbornness and failure to admit that sometimes updates don't work the way you planned.

10 months of this awful loot system, and my desire to play this game is slipping away... I'd rather complain about it in this thread than actually PLAY the game. What's that say for the state of this once great game?

    Well said.
I only add a thing.... why supercell asks our feedback? They don't care at all our feedback... don't ask if you don't want to hear the answers....

Remember what happened to Microsoft with start menů... learn something! If you don't listen to customers you won't last long... (in the next Windows... oh, they'll put again start menů... after they noticed people keep using Win 7 or even Win XP... after they put a fake "start" in windows 8.1.... after 2 years of bad business they finally listened to theyr customer....).
Supercell, we're waiting since 3 weeks, don't wait 2 years, you're not Microsoft....

Supercell needs to improve its communication strategy

I have played other online games, most notably World of Warcraft. It too is (was?) a very popular game with an annual revenue of over a billion dollars. But the difference in how Blizzard communicated with its customers and how Supercell is responding, or not responding, is quite stark.

Nowhere is it more evident than on the issue of using illegal tools in Clash of Clans. There were regular ban-waves there, and many times an explicit post that the banhammer had fallen on many accounts. But most importantly, on an issue such as this, there was an acknowledgement that the problem existed. Or that it didn't exist, in their view.

Supercell could really improve its communication strategy. Do not forget that mobile/web games are fickle. Today you have a multi-million dollar revenue, tomorrow you may not. There are many examples of just how fast the popularity can fall. Just look at Rovio or Zynga. Don't get me wrong - it is an astonishing achievement to reach where you have reached. Clash of Clans is an awesome mobile game and I am still enjoying it, even if significantly less than before. Please do not become complacent.

As for the loot itself, gold is decent for me. But trying to get elixir for upgrades makes me want to pull my hair out. Half the reason for that is the lack of high elixir in target storages, and the other half is that I am being forced to Barch all the time. I want to use other army compositions but I can't do that at the moment. Earlier I used to boost 3-4 barracks and the spell factory. I have stopped boosting my barracks except in a war emergency, because the returns do not justify it. And having to attack every 15-20 mins for 6-8 hours is not really my cup of tea. If there were no clan wars, I might have taken a break to see if things were improving. I want to say more, but the post is already too long.
    TH11 - level 161 - BK32, AQ 40, GW 14 - 1 Billion GG - 6 million HH - 657 War Stars

Arunt, I could not have said it better.
(except that for me elixir loot it's not enough... I dont' wanna say it again, but to play with balloons it's just impossible after the upgrade).

I just wait an answer from supercell (it was ok two weeks ago when they said "we're monitoring" but now? There is a problem for you or not?)

First off people, generally, do not speak up when satisfied so you need to measure the satisfied by other means. There are far more people enjoying the game than complaining about it, that's why you are having to search more. You are having a harder time finding loot due to huge numbers of players who are out there raiding, upgrading and enjoying the game. More players=less loot for each of us, their pleasure is your bane.

Don't start none and there won't be none.
Well actually if you go to App Store its 95% positive with a very high rating. If happy people don't post why is that? Why? Because they are new comers to the game, mainly Th5 or lower, we all loved the game at that level, invested time in it and moved up only to hit the current brick wall.

Yes it is the higher level people that are complaining. But it's these people that the lower levels look to aspire too.

The vast majority of people on this forum are having problems finding loot. The armies we were all told we have to build up to, the armies we actually need to play clan wars, are now to expensive to use.

But my biggest issue is the complete and utter silence from Supercell. It would take a couple of minutes to come on here and say we are listening, we realise you are having problems and we are trying to come up with a solution.

Oh, and more players equals more mines and pumps which should equal more loot.........

Digest this from reddit. If you would rather read reason.

Forums are where people go to complain, so naturally, it's full of people complaining. They aren't a representative sample of the population of gamers.

Additionally, it's the same reason that the comments sections of most popular Internet sites are the way they are: We live in an age where you can type out the first thing that comes to mind and immediately broadcast it.
Another factor to keep in mind is that positive opinions are pretty hard to gather into communicable thoughts, but negative ones are visceral and easy to express. Grab the best game you've played in the past month and think of all the things you liked about it. Now think of what you wish it had done, what it did wrong, and what it almost did right... Not only will you get a much larger list of negative thoughts, it'll be easier to expand on why you feel the way you do about the negative feelings.
People don't typically hop online to express how happy they were with a game. They're too busy enjoying it.

There's also the natural negative bias of your brain. In the wild, it's more important for you to remember that berry nearly killed you, than the berry that tasted delicious. Therefore the brain has been adjusted to much more easily remember bad things. It's much more easy for your brain to remember that X game was horrible instead of the other game that was good. Even if you just took it from the overall feeling instead of what the details were.

First paragraph from linked Wikipedia article about Negativity bias :

Negativity bias is the name for a psychological phenomenon by which humans pay more attention to and give more weight to negative rather than positive experiences or other kinds of information. This shows up in a number of domains, including:

Derp derp derp derp. Reddit complaining about people complaining proves what exactly?

Please show where it proves your statement that people do not speak up when satisfied.

You should probably give up the ghost now coat hanger, it's getting to a point where you are stifling the conversation and not contributing to it. Everyone has there own personal loot experience.

just like loads of people having good loot would not go on the forums to say it, the same applies to people not getting good loot.

I would say that Coat's insistence that all is ok is an example of someone who is satisfied saying that they are.

    Hence he's proving himself wrong.

And seriously...quoting Reddit as proof? major lolz!
