Come up to champs, I'm averaging 450k each w/o bonus. Tell your friends to be patient, finding loot in gold takes a lot of time.

I had an awesome golden hour loot session yesterday. Made many millions up in high G1 / low C3.

I get your point and there is some validity there. However, I have some remarks. Firstly, complaining and making suggestions are 2 different things. Many of the complaints I have skimmed through are merely that: complaints (not talking about you in particular). I never made a claim that people shouldn't be able to make suggestions. Secondly, you seem to overvalue quantity over quality (seen from a business perspective): I'd rather have 5 paying customers over 100 customers who don't pay anything. You can be as active as you want and inadvertently promote CoC with your activities in-game and through other platforms, in the end it means nothing if people don't pay: it's the paying customer who keeps the business running. You claim that if all the FREE players left tomorrow, it would be quite a boring game etc. To be honest, I don't even know if that would be the case. However, what I do know for a fact is that if all the PAYING players left tomorrow, there wouldn't be a game at all. So yeah, if we all acted like you ("be active, promote SC and drive activity" without financially contributing) there wouldn't be a game to complain about. So, I don't think it's that ludicrous.
Th 8's and 9's (myself included) in my clan have had great success looting these last couple of days. +6 lvl 9 walls without boosting in 24 hrs.
This is going off topic but seeing as you took the time to reply...
Ok suggestion / complaint...I do the two together so bundled them as one in my post. Some people do just complain...but I actually think they should be able to regardless of how many gems they bought.
Of course SC are a business and need paying customers - but as I started off my previous post, we all have a role to play. Lots of people play this game because lots of people play this game...number one in the app charts means something...popular because its popular, a bit like kim kardashian - no one quite knows how it happens but lots of people jump on the bandwagon. (Actually, I could tell you how it happens but it is not very interesting). No free / very low spending players like me and many paying players would not bother spending any more...being number one in a game no one cares about does not give the same sense of achievement I'd expect. Also, the game needs critical mass to keep it viable - if free players were not needed they could marginalise us and reduce their server infrastructure...but they haven't - yet...
If it were a coin toss and I was the CEO - Free players or Paying players for this particular game...Honestly and clearly without having the numbers to hand I would take the free players and try to monetize them in some way shape or form. My honest belief is that if SC removed all free players or asked us to pay to keep our accounts open (and in the process losing a bunch), the game would be on a slow but inevitable decline - revenue would drop, popularity on the app stores would wane and the people that like / can only play for free would make some other game popular.
If on the other hand I was CEO but only for the day, I would kick the free players and milk the gemmers for as long as possible, take my fat pay cheque and bounce. Depends on if you want something sustainable or a short term pay day.
The clear choice is to keep both sets of players happy and have a really popular game that sucks in more new players all of the time and with them will be a % of players that will pay. The longer SC keeps us playing, the more chance of us paying money eventually...and the more players, the higher the odds etc etc.
Put another way, there is a very sound business reason/s why SC set this game up the way they did. It was not an experiment. Some people who know how to monetise games designed this system and after 2 years I am betting they have it humming quite well...and it apparently still needs free players...
This!!
I been finding 400K+ gold/elix bases super fast all day, several times being the very first base I searched, several other times within 10-20 nexts MAX, hardly a long or expensive search as far as I'm concerned.
Sounds like you, along with obviously quite a few others are experiencing either bad timing or bad luck (perhaps both as they kinda go hand in hand), however, many others are not experiencing loot drought conditions as bad as many are complaining about.
Check your trophy count, you may not be at an optimal trophy level to help maximize your loot finds in fewer nexts.
Also consider that it may just not be as good a time of the day to find those big loot raids.
I'm TH8, hovering around 1250 trophies right now and again, I'm having ZERO trouble finding 400K+ bases to raid. I've raided 12 so far throughout my day and have been fortunate enough to have grabbed a few mil. With how easy I'm finding bases with huge loot to raid, I'd sure like to be raiding a lot more but I'm at work and simply can't, so I sneak a raid in as often as I've been able to. It's been a great day for me so far!!! No complaints here.
Good luck.
Since the update I went from hardcore farmer who played 4+ hours a day and buying gems to speed up upgrades to now playing 10 min a day collecting collector loot and waiting on upgrades. I also quit my clan of 12 months so that I don't have to log on for war. I know I'm not the only one. During 1 gem boost my loot was still awful.
