My boat sailed away yesterday with nothing on it because I needed 18 bottles of carrot juice which is a rare item to find anyway. No one was selling from my friends list and I sat and refreshed the paper for several hours hoping to find that gem paper with all the good stuff. In the span of several hours I didn't see one carrot juice. The paper has become useless now. I am one of those players that wants to play the game as intended. If it continues and more people start doing it there will be no point in selling to advertising anything and social aspect of this game will be all but gone.

i'd really like to hear how people from Supercell feel about this.
Trading came from the fact that the newspaper is rubbish, and mainly has eggs and bacon in it, this is why people trade and start posts like join here if you don't sell eggs and bacon, lots of people are frustrated with playing the game like this.

There is the element of adding friends who can come and visit your shop etc., so don't think you can say that we are not playing in the way the game was intended to be played.

I must say I tend not to advertise my good items, I want to keep them for my 'friends', people I've traded with, people who have seen a post and added me, who fill my boat, revive my trees and somehow I feel a kind of loyalty to them and want to keep my items for them rather then the faceless masses who are reading the newspaper. And this is how I find a lot of my items from their shops, so would rather keep these things for them.

Why don't you just add more friends? Again there are threads that allow you to do this.

I disagree with stopping inside trading. The vast majority of players do not play this way. It adds yet another element of fun. Maybe I should change my farm name to come to supercell forum for an awesome time of inside trading. Spread the love.

    Trading.

When I first started this game I could easily find the equipement I needed to upgrade my barn and silo. Over the months things changed. On my farm I find a lot of duct tapes but hardly planks. Some find a lot of planks but no tape. That's why I joined a trading group. In the group I can trade my tapes for planks. If I put them in the newspaper, I wont be sure to find planks. Because of this groups, people stop putting good items in the newspaper because they can be used for trading. Some people join 4 trading groups, their boat gets always filled. Another thing about the newspaper, if you go to a farm from the newspaper and you help someone, then you come on their helperslist. You can't reach their farm, but they can reach you. It happened to me more then once that after helping someone, my shop got raided by that person and you can't take anything in return. So I stopped putting adds, joined a trading group, got myself a lot of neighbours and prefer them to have facebook. Then you are able to contact them. I was thinking about quitting the game, but since I started trading I could level up and find more fun in the game. You have a lot more social contact with other players.

Wow- how far down did you dig to find this? I love seeing how my feelings have changed as this thread progressed at least.

Alternatively, you could always 'friend' a high level player who has never used the trading forum (Not that there's anything wrong with it!)....One that has lost many long term followers since last update (oops...I'll stop mentioning that!) and constantly stocking their shop with building materials etc... GC BuffyDee...More than happy to help!
PS Still get a major buzz from discovering these things in B&E ads....Scroll through as many ads as you can...Ive found heaps of surprises (OK, suddenly sounding like the complete addict that I am)

PLEASE tell me how the inside trading works. The only way I know is to sell in your shop. I need land registries badly but dont know how to get them. I feel like an old dodderer trying to play the game. I'm not. Honestly!

    Hi,

Here is a link to the forum's trading thread for barn/silo & land expansion items- the first post explains how inside trading works:

Here is a link to the forums trading thread for food and other produced items:

I that first post in the top thread answers all your questions- if not just ask!
