I have found that I have no trouble finding building items when I DON'T need them. The minute I decide to upgrade, thy are impossible to find!

While I don't care how others play a game-there is one thing I've noticed that will change gameplay. I am going for the cake oven-and selling EVERYTHING I can-even land expansion items-I still have enough land- so I've noticed some of my friends that are doing inside trading are buying them-while their markets are empty or have basic items. When I do decide to expand-this will hurt me. While it's my decision now to sell them though-I will just have to get new friends later, LOL-if I could only figure out how to unfriend them-even tried looking in Game Center. It seems like more work to me to do inside trading-but that is just MY opinion.

i actually both troll friends shops and newspaper and I also trade. I always put a good selection of harder to find items in my shop because I know how hard it is to find some things. My problem is that I rarely get the building items that I need for expanding my barn from normal play. I always seem to get plenty of wood for the silo but almost never get planks for the barn. It makes play as you get to upper levels almost impossible and since they are rarely found in shops, my only alternative is to trade or post a need in a forum. I don't believe that it takes the fun out of my play in fact I think it makes it more fun. How you want to play the game is up to the individual and if trading helps some then I'm ok with that. Just like some choose to advance without buying diamonds while other purchase them so they can advance things faster

I completely agree. I will make, trade, troll, scour the paper for the items I need. I also still put building items for sale in my shop. Sometimes I advertise, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I advertise an egg, and the lucky person who comes to buy that egg can find a bolt or a plank or other building supplies. Surprise! This is all what makes the game fun to me.

I don't know how insider trading works but o e thing I'm finding really annoying is the amount of bacon and eggs being sold, why exactly is everybody selling bacon and eggs, and at the highest price?

I think because bacon n eggs aren't really needed for ANYTHING! I wish we were allowed to buy more "feed makers" for the animals. I also hate that things take SOOOOOOO long to produce!

Suggest you consider just sending the boat away without filling it if you don't have most of the items in stock or can't find them easily in the paper. Just hit send on the boat without filling any crates. This, of course, is not an option for those players going after the Captain achievement. For those folks, I highly recommend the Captain help thread where many people spend a good deal of their time helping, and the rest of us lurk and help out those players striving for that achievement.

As a practical matter, there would be no way to ban trading among neighbors. Besides, it's a fundamental and fun part of the game.

I strongly feel that under the table trading should be banned in this game. The game went from challenging to downright not fun and pretty much impossible. Even with the newspaper refreshing more frequently, people are setting up trades with each other and not advertising so things like building materials are almost nonexistent anymore unless your friends are selling them. My boat sailed away yesterday with nothing on it because I needed 18 bottles of carrot juice which is a rare item to find anyway. No one was selling from my friends list and I sat and refreshed the paper for several hours hoping to find that gem paper with all the good stuff. In the span of several hours I didn't see one carrot juice. The paper has become useless now. I am one of those players that wants to play the game as intended. If it continues and more people start doing it there will be no point in selling to advertising anything and social aspect of this game will be all but gone.


i'd really like to hear how people from Supercell feel about this.
