Thread: Statistics regarding loot (NOT an opinion thread)

    I appreciate the type of approach you choose to face "loot problem". I don't know when you started recording data and i've seen your thread only now. In last two days i did an analysis like yours.
    I have registered:
    - condition of raiding
    - date and hour
    - time spent to find the base i decided to attack
    - resources stolen
    - trophies

    And i made some statistics.

    First day
    Time: 23/09/2014 (Tuesday) 09:20 - 11:20 am CET
    Conditions: 2 rax boosted.
    Army: only barbarians and archers, looking for collectors raids (ONLY INACTIVES)
    Results:

    Note: as you can see from second graph i was able to find big collector raids (above 400k total resources) also after a little search. I suspect i can't understand in which way inactive are placed at the end of the queue.

    - Bad day. 40 gems to science.
    - I have the impression (since the first day i started farming in this game) that we can find good loot on one day and the following will be bad.
    - I have tried to "change server". It does nothing. Local players leaderbord remain the same (italy) and the loot doesn't change.

    If you really want to get a proper answer to this loot questions, you need a lot more data.

    I would suggest you attach a simple spreadsheet ppl can fill in themselves and then post back to you.

    Of course SC can see the data 100% accurately and at the touch of a button......One would hope.

    So the original post is updated to show comparative statistics of loot in the trophy range [2140-2190] relative to loot in the trophy range [2240-2290]. Basically the loot is slightly better in the higher trophy range (by a few thousand gold and a few thousand elixir).

    Interestingly, there is not much change in the proportion of bases with over 100k of either gold or elixir. In other words, you are (more or less) equally likely to find a base with over 100k elixir in either trophy range.

    This morning I dropped trophies into the ~1650 range and I'm now gathering data.

    Right off the bat, there is a significant decrease in the average gold available (relative to Crystal leagues). Elixir, however, is only slightly lower on average (approx 10% lower on average). The cool thing is that there are nearly just as many bases (proportionally) offering >100k elixir in the 1600 range as there were in the ~2200 trophy range... but the bases offering >100k elixir are far weaker down in the 1600's.

    Up in Crystal league approx 16% of all bases had over 100k elixir. Of those bases, ~33% of them were TH9 or lower (and most of these were, in fact, TH9)

    Contrast that to the 1600-range where approx 15% of all bases have over 100k elixir. Of those bases, over 80% of them are TH9 or lower (and many of these are actually TH8)!

    Sorry if this is off topic but my clan is completely falling apart from anger and boredom from the latest update. I emailed SC about the loot issue and they replied

    We have reduced the percentage of loot available from the storages in order to give players a better protection of their resources with the maximum cap staying the same. There have been no changes on mines and collectors.

    According to our statistics, there is even more loot available than before, so by looking for different matches you should be able to receive many resources from your opponents. After an update, players will use most of their resources to get new content, but this should now have leveled off.
    I am skipping on average 100-150 times each raid at th10 in the 2000-2100 range using balloon minions. Average base is 35-60k elixir/gold with DE in abundance. I don't have a spreadsheet laid out with tests but there is a HUGE difference in what is out there after the last update. I am fine with walls going back to just gold upgrades if we can get the game back to some level of enjoyment. I can't even break even with troops and skip costs. My clan is drifting away, members leaving and going to back to back war clans just to get loot.

    Again, sorry if this is off-topic from the stat theme here, just thought the quote from SC would shed some light to some. Mods, feel free to remove post if necessary.

    Agreed. People have clearly taken a liking to this thread. But data is going to be all over the place and without any clear focus on pertinent specifics. Create a spreadsheet with the important information and lets see what happens.

    Also responses should contain an outlined structure so it's easy to flow from one person's response to the next. Keep it short and sweet. It's about obtaining a collective response, not a stick measuring competition to see who can overwhelm the forums with data.

    Your post might be better in the loot thread that is Sticky-ed at the top of the general forum

    Based on what I've seen over the past few days using Loonion between 2150-2300 cups, the loot was not much better up there than what I'm currently seeing in the 1650-range. There was a bit more loot up in Crystal (definitely a lot more DE), but the bases were so much harder it didn't matter. Down here in Gold league I can Barch and get consistent raids in the 260k (combined) realm with fewer "nexts" than I was doing with max loons & L5 minis up in Crystal.
