And the funny thing is I didn't go up..... I went down... pretty far down too lol... I mean the loot was obviously a little dry but only for a day or so and I still found a little here and there but to say that its still dried up is completely absurd

This rumor is true, they have been doing that for the past few months. And yes, it is greedy. I would be more critical of this greed except that if I were in the shoes of the guy that is trying to answer to demanding shareholders (who, if they don't think you are maximizing their ROI enough will replace you with someone that will) I might make the same choice.

Another big reason is the (mostly Chinese) bots that run 24x7 so they never go offline. They can now save up loot without fear of it being stolen. The game does have a feature that kicks you offline and makes you wait if you have been on too long but the bots are set up to periodically exit and then promptly log back in again to reset that counter. They can also do things like search automatically until they hit a base with good loot making them better at finding the few good targets out there than you are. These are not SCs fault but their existence is still hurting the game. But since they also force gems I think could be lowering the priority of getting something in place to combat them. (Still answering those shareholders)

The walls upgrade has had less effect than the above 2, but did have a little. It stood out because you saw and update and a difference. But that difference would not have hurt that much if it was not on top of the above 2 factors.

    1) You cant stay on 24/7. But the troop placing bots are true.

    2) THERE ARE NO FREE GEM ♥♥♥♥S PEOPLE!

Not sure if this would work, but maybe a timer thing that closes the game forcing you to re-open it. It might give you a 5 minute warning or something in case you were raiding at the time. And it would happen every hour or two so the bots can't really do anything about it (maybe). If you don't think it would work, just say so, but please don't get all sour with me, I was just trying to help.

So me and a few others in my clan all just found raids of 300,000+ and 400,000+ back to back and I had passed on a few crazy bases of 300,000+...... then poof back to searching and searching and searching again...........
    Really strange

agreed allows players to dump excess

100% correct not one thing wrong

B- "elixir for wall upgrade" resulting super low available loot, which discourage raiding.

When I first read the update about "elixir for wall", my first thought was raiding will be difficult. But I was wrong, it was indeed IMPOSSIBLE.

    - Raiding was the main success component for CoC, the others such as defense and troop upgrade, war, trophy etc are the by product of raiding.
    - "Elixir for wall" allows players to dump excess elixir into walls, as low loots is the best defense.
    - When incentive for regular raid was removed, and saving throught raiding becomes non economical, players will rely on collectors and keep shield as long as possible, as raiders had becomes so much more desparate.
    - Without regular raiding, upgrade and war affair will suffer, playability of CoC will be affected.
    - But collection from collectors alone will not be sufficient for upgrades during each TH level, gem becomes the only reliable currency for upgrading.
    - When gems becomes the only way for upgradings, CoC is a dying game.

The consequences from "elixir for wall" may not be intended, but it is the factor that threaten the playability of CoC. It will be sensible for Supercell to urgently reverse this effect ASAP, before it turns from worst to non-reversible.

Some of the ways could be:
    - Dramatically tweak the normal raiding win bonus, as well as war bonus (both win and loss), or
    - Double or triple the cost for "elixir for wall", or
    - Elimination of "elixir for wall", or
    - Others that you might have think of.

The earliest Supercell could rectify it, the better chance it can retain its currently die hard players.

please we if other players read this and share my concern please reply. supercell has to fix this ASAP.

I will say that the amount of elixir has decreased, but it is not crazy. I would say it decreased by about 25%. It sucks, but the game is still playable, especially if you Barch or BAM for loot. If you farm correctly, then there should still be plenty of loot.

I do agree that CW's should double or triple the bonus. Or instead, they could make troop training for wars free and immediately.

You could switch to another game, but that would take months to get back to the point at which you are at now. You would also have to learn the whole new system of the new game.

I do admit that the new update stunk, but the game is still playable.

    Good luck with your raiding.

    Cheers,

    very true

There have been plenty of complain about this issue. I'm about to quit this game if they're not fixing it in a week. I barely raid like I used to.

I think 25% is a very conservative number. Before the update there was an abundance of bases overflowing with unwanted elixir. Those have become prime targets and I no longer see nearly as many of the 300k elixir/30k gold bases that nobody wanted to raid before.

I agree that the game is certainly still playable. It just takes quite a bit longer to get elixir. Odd, before this update I was always in disagreement with those who felt elixir was next to worthless and gold was the difficult resource to get. I always had the exact opposite problem.

The thing I really dislike is hitting next constantly. It really saps the fun out of the game. I enjoy farming, and I suspect most of us farmers suffer from at least a mild form of OCD to engage is such a repetitive task, but I'd rather be attacking a lot, not nexting a lot.
