I was thinking that splash damage loses its appeal beyond a point and farmers before you kill me for saying that, I was thinking that both mortars and wizard towers should be given three modes let's say:
1st mode can make the mortar/wizard tower have more DPS but they have reduced range and troops that get hit become stronger and faster for 5-10 seconds.
2nd mode can make the mortar/wizard tower have lesser DPS but they have an increased range and troops that get hit become slower and do lesser damage
3rd mode is the normal mortar/wizard tower
Also let the modes get stronger with each upgrade of the mortar/wizard tower. This would add more stratgegies and various bases which would make the game more interesting.
