Penalties for people leaving clan during Clan Wars

Best solution is a counter in the player profile: Deserted X wars.

Natural selection would make serious players avoid deserting at all costs because the best clans would only accept players with no desertions.

This number would not increase if player is kicked, only if he leaves.

Well, I give you props for finding an existing thread to join instead of starting an identical one. In addition to rwelchjr's point about SC having a strict "no name & shame" policy that rules out any negative statistic I offer you this. . .

You need to remember who you are complaining about here. Either the player leaving is leaving because you have a poor clan and/or poor leadership, or they are leaving because they have questionable moral integrity. For the sake of argument lets assume you are a wise and effective leader, so this must be one of those d-bags that hangs you out to dry. If you get your way and players are forced to stay or penalized for leaving . . . <fade to foreshadowed scene>

1) D-bag joins
2) You start war
3) D-bag wants to leave but can't (SUCCESS!!! He is stuck with you now!!!)
4) D-bag is a d-bag and wants out, so he decides to get kicked out
5) So he fills war castles with goblins and wallbreakers
6) And fills donations with goblins and wall breakers
7) And turns your clan chat into something that makes global look like bible study
8) And defames your clan on global
9) Then wastes both attacks in the war anyway
9a) Set their base up so it is super easy to 3*
10) And continues to fill war requests with ♥♥♥♥ troops
11) Maybe even comes to the forums to badmouth you and your clan
12) You kick them out
or
12) Your other clan members leave because you won't kick out the D-bag

Remember, this is already a person who doesn't care if they hurt your clan. Long story short, you are requesting a way to force people who don't want to be in your clan, who you don't even want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan. NOTHING good can come of this. Bad idea every time it is suggested.

While I do appreciate your enthusiasm and original thinking I'm pretty sure nobody at SC or the required goon squad is going to want to charge at me with a knife the next time I switch clans for a few hours to visit friends on prep day.

These are all excuses, penalties should be imposed on those people who either dont attack or leave clan during wars. It is as simple as that, WHERE IS NOW FAIR PLAY FROM SUPERCELL?

Those 3 ideas are all not very good to penalize people. I think that they should simply have a longer war timer and/or should not get war loot.

This should be amended so it is if they voluntarily leave and not kicked during war.
There should be a cool down period of 2-5 days

I believe they mean Only if you are in the War not in the clan.

No. 3 is not a good idea ! We leave our clan to get haste and other goodies from our parent clans ! I think not using attacks should be punishable .

I like the idea with #3 due to the fact that even a person you know personally can even get out of the clan during wars.

Everybody has had problems with people leaving the clan during clan wars. The cooldown timer just isnt enough to deter people leaving the clan during wars which puts the clan at a big disadvantage. Here are some idea's to impose on people that choose to leave the clan during clan wars.

1. Impose a loot penalty for 72 hours. i.e. 20% penalty on all raids during the 72 hour period.

2. Make the individual unable to join another clan for 72 hours

3. Make the leave button unavailable during war.

I think that this penalty should end when the war ends

Imagine if everybody is offending a guy for making a bad war attack, and then he want's to leave, he can't join another clan for 72 hours, i really don't like that one
