Oh my goodness people! Why do you put things in your shop? For them to sell. Does it really matter who buys them? Does it really matter how much or how often they buy things? Flip the coin over ... You sold your stuff and made coins!

if you only want your neighbors to have what you sell then don't fill crates of those you do not know. There you go, problem solved!
Amen to this. A huge point of this game is the social aspect. Why do people play social games if they don't want to be social in the first place??? I don't get it.

Then again I don't understand the stalkers either. They ruin it for everyone as expressed in the intense bitterness in this thread.

    Love Hay Day.

I do want to be social, which is why I'm complaining. The problem is easy to solve: never help strangers in the newspaper. I have enough friends, followers and neighbors that I can get all the gift cards I want just helping people I know.

But I would like to help others, and as I said, some of my best friends in the game started out through the last follower tab.

If you're dealing with real people, you have to have way to control who you interact with. 99% of players are fine, reasonable people. It's the other 1% that are driving people to quit helping anyone.

How exactly is Last Helpers promoting being social? I cannot visit the farms of the people I helped.

I'm not a FB user. I have an account because so many things (like Hay Day) seem to require one these days. I don't even know how I would go about adding someone as a friend or why I would want to add a stranger to a social media I never use.

There's actually no need to ever be social in Hay Day. It's entirely possible to be self-sufficient. I certainly never downloaded Hay Day with the intention of being social first and playing a fun farming game second. As I see it, being social is there as a convenience, not a necessity.

This is probably just a problem to those who enjoy their neighborhood, I don't really care about my NH so not a problem to me, I sell my stuffs to anyone who want it. Relax people!

Well, I resurrected Janilee's post in Ideas & Features Requests: The Last Helper Tab needs updating. No point in making a new thread when a perfectly good one already exists. I did add some suggestions & feedback. Anyone else who is equally unhappy with how the current system is implemented please feel free to reply and offer your own.

you be social because you want to, not because the game requires it. and as with all, or at least most social media platforms with the ability to follow and like (including this game), there should be a block or opt-out function, simple as that. if someone wants to follow me, i will have the choice whether or not i want to be followed. giving us no control like this is not cool. SC probably thinks they have done a fantastic job giving us a delete follower function afterall but really, the job is only half done. when they designed the game at first they probably think most players would be children who dont have such "problems" but the truth is, lots of adults play it and the issue on raiding and stalking is very real. its not just one or two people who think its an unpleasant experience. its high time SC acknowledges this issue.

I personally like the last helper's list because I like to go visit those who've helped me to say a quick "thanks!" by buying something in their shop, but I do agree people should fall off after a few hours (or a day) instead of hanging around for two weeks.

I personally would like for the boat leaderboard to go away, the part that shows the rankings of the whole world. I don't CARE what the whole world ranks in points, but it opens up a pathway for the more aggressive players to come find me when perhaps I don't want to be found by anyone other than my GC friends and neighbors. Oh, and my NH neighbors too. I think SC needs to close that nasty loop PDQ.

the boat leaderboard will never go away. those hardcore showoffs spend a ton of diamonds to get to where they are, how do you think the one at the top could be at the top for years? they're the main source of income for SC.

It's interesting that you buy something as a thank you. I consider the XP + gift card enough thanks. That and <corny> the joy of helping someone. </corny>

I've never tried to find anyone on the boat leaderboard, but surely it's not that easy? I mean, in my case, I don't even have my boat points achievement. I can't imagine the amount of newbie/lowbie accounts you'd have to sift through.

You're exactly right, the xp and gift card ARE thanks, but it's my way of also saying a brief "hi" to my GC friends and neighbors, especially the ones who regularly pop up to water trees or help my boats. It's the only way to add the personal thanks to a helpsie. I don't do it all the time, just if something is for sale that I want or need. Or if they're selling produce, then I'll buy a single crate - "hi and thanks, neighbor!"

Daniel, you're right - those folks want the world to know they're at the top of the heap.
