Well here is another thread about it.
I am am taking issue with the fact that it cost so much to make troops vs the spoils of battle. I, at this point can have 200 troops total after making my Giants (14 x2500 elixir 70 housing space), Bombers (12 x3000 elixir 24 housing space), Healer (2 x 8000 elixir 28 housing space), Archers (32 x 200 elixir 32 housing space) Goblins (16 x 100 elixir 16 housing space) and Hogriders (6 x 40 dark elixir 30 housing space). All troops are max level that the townhall will allow lab to create.
Total space is 200
Total elixir is 95000 elixir
Total dark elixir is 240
Total troop spawn time is 24 min
Six gold mines lvl 11 produce 18000 an hour.
When going to battle I look for the following resources in order for it to be worth while to go into battle.
Gold 50-100k +
Elixir 100-150k +
Dark Elixir 240 +
This is just an example of one of the many different troop configurations I use. Regardless the numbers are very similar.
I have given up on the Dark Elixir just not possible at this point to recoup it every time I go to battle.
If I encounter someone with equal defense to that of my own lvl 7-8 walls and defensive structures max lvl for lvl 8 townhall it is best to move on. Capturing all the resources is next to impossible unless they have lousy defensive layout.
So I must aim for someone with lvl 5-7 walls and moderately leveled defense who has stored up resources to their storage limits in order to recoup my expenses and that eliminates the Dark Elixir recouping. I will spending 10-20 min hitting next to find a battle with the resources and worth the risk. In this game as in life, if the spoils of war are not there then it is foolish to go to war.
If you have read the art of War it is clearly defined that it is wise to feed ones troops from the victories of conquered territories and if you wish to keep a happy army let them loot from those of the conquered. This saves the expense of war from the homeland and keeps moral high in an army. At this point. Due to elixir cost, training time and resource production the game is set up like Las Vegas house rules so house always wins and this makes for one unhappy army (mine), wasting resources (mine) and discourages people from wanting to do battle (me again).
Increase resource production, nerf defense or buff offense and cut troop cost.
It is absolutely pointless to even spawn a Dragon or Peeka completely inefficient use of space and not cost effective. Those resources are just being wasted which is sad cause they are fun to use. Only fun and not efficient!
