Lightbulb Spell defense!! Decreases the effect of spells.

Hey guys, I have an awesome idea for a new defense.

I was thinking, why not make a spell defense. Basically what it will do, is decrease the effect of spells that are put in its range.

You can also change its range like an X-Bow. If it's at short range it will have a greater effect on the spells then if it's at long range.

I was thinking it could be 3 levels

Level 1 Decreases spell effect (25% for short range)(10% for long range) Cost: 2,500,000 Gold
Level 2 Decreases spell effect (50% for short range)(20% for long range) Cost: 5,000,000 Gold
Level 3 Decreases spell effect (75% for short range)(30% for long range) Cost: 7,500,000 Gold

Long range will be 12 Tiles
Short range will be 7 Tiles

    Upgrade time:
    Level 1: 6 Days
    Level 2: 10 Days
    Level 3: 14 Days

Any spell's effect will only be decreased if it's in range of the defense, if it's not, then the spell will work normally.

Let me know what you guys think of this idea.

Spells are a HUGE part of high level attacking, what would be the balance to this? If you are decreasing a rage or freeze spell by a whopping 75%, that could turn an easy victory into a crushing defeat real quick.

Another question is what would the effect be on Jump spells?

With the hero regen times what they are now and spells being the reason we need to wait/gem, we need spells (to which some wait up to 3.5hours for) to be super powerful in my opinion.
