    Ahh, ok, i saw, i thought it was ruled out. This is a great idea, deserves even more attention (just like my Pyro Mage troop)

The worst case scenario would be that it would "Freeze" a mortar, where the Attack speed is so slow, the phoenix would be useless.

    Hit Points: 350 (Because this Troop is made of Ice, Inferno Towers do 1.5 times Damage against it)

    Ability: When this troop dies, It will descend to the defensive tower that it is attacking and form glaciers around the tower and decrease firing speed by 1.5x (so a level 5 mortar fires every seven and a half seconds and at a lower DPS to compensate for the damage gain)

    I don’t really see anyone challenge this...

    Here is an army that may as well be considered OP, with the Ice Phoenix among them.

    1 Lava Hound, 2 IPs, 4 Dragons, the Rest Archers, Wall breakers, other regular extras, BK, and AQ. 1 Heal Spell the rest Rage Spell
    Plant Lava Hound in which it is aimed at the nearest Air Defense, then follow it up with IPs. IPs will disable/reduce firing rates of either the Air Defense, or nearby Defenses. If an Archer Tower or other Air threat is in range, deploy Dragons. As Dragons are faster than the IPs, they will get past its line. The Lava Hound can take care of the Air Defense in a few seconds. You follow it up with Dragons. The IPs will take care of near threats while Dragons mow everything down. In the meantime, The Lava hound has probably triggered many Air traps due to flying around for those Air Defenses, leaving the Dragons prone to Defense damage primarily. Deploy all Archers in the area that has not been mowed down, as well as other troops, your BK, and AQ.

    This will at least score 1 star for almost every base.

    This army can work on many kinds of bases with ease.

    Though, I have an idea that can fix this:
    When an Ice Phoenix is freezing something, If a Dragon/Lava hound attacks what it is freezing the Frozen effect will be disabled until the ICe Phoenix phases again.

    This might make it UP but I see it as the best way.

    Okay I see what you are trying to get at, however you are wrong about a couple things and missing a few other things. The Lava Hound won't take care of an AD few seconds. A level 3 Lava Hound does 28 damage per attack, while a max level AD has 1170 HP, so it takes around 41 seconds for a lava hound to take down 1 AD.A Full Th10 has 4. Not to mention, CC troops, a Queen,Seeking Air Mines, Infernos, X-Bows and other AD in the Area. Your whole strategy depends on the assumption that CCs are empty and Heroes are Down for the battle. If an Inferno was set to single, it would fry a hound in a matter of seconds with backup, same thing with opposing heroes and dragons. x-bows could take down an IP in a couple seconds with its impressive range, and the queen can snipe em down too. Dragons, from what i hear are not that reliable once you get to high TH9-Th10, assuming max defenses and high level heroes. Im a Th8, so i have no idea the power of lvl 4 dragons at that level.


    Even with Rage/Heal spells, it would take some serious skill to get past max defenses with that army set up. Maybe Freeze/Heal would make the army comp OP, but thats a lot of elixir/DE as well as time. (Assuming all Barracks are Max- 30 minutes + change for regular barracks, 45 minutes on on DB, 50 minutes on the Other, And then Spells. Probably crucial in this setup and 5 spells is about 3 hours to make assuming 4, 45 minute spells

    I see the implications that the IP might be OP in some army comps, but isn't that the case right now? GoWiWi, QuatroLavaloonion, can get 1 star on most bases, if not all, so what's the difference between this and those comps?

    Good idea sorry I kind of posted the same thing before I knew you posted this. you commented on my thread: "I heard my name being typed". I think this is a cool idea and definitely should be added. your thread has a lot more detail. Keep up the good work and make sure supercell reads it,OK.

    Thanks for the input! Lol a lot of people now adays are posting similar ideas, so no problem on that. Thanks for the support and hopefully a variation of the Ice Phoenix makes it into the game somewhere along the line.

    lol kinda not. Hounds are specific targeting AD, Ice Phoenixes go for any defense in the area first. Thanks for the support though
