At one point in the game spells were gold. I think it would be great if Supercell could change spells back to gold or maybe you could have a choice. Maybe if you click the Spell Factory, where the Info and Create Spells button is, make a Gold and Elixir button. Just an idea, tell me what you guys think.
I would like to have a lot more things like that, including troops.
Gold is supposed to be for defenses and Elix supposed to be for attacks...
I say "supposed to be", cos the last update with the walls makes that theory nonsense...
And no I'd rather spend Elix than Gold on spells...

I would like an option.. Now that walls are elixer as well, as soon as I max my archer towers I'll have nothing to do with gold besides walls.. Being able to use gold for spells would be nice.. I don't care about walls that much lol.
Personally the way i think about it is, Walls 1-5 are all material ie stone or gold. 6+ magically turns to Crystal and Lego walls that conduct electricity or lava. My thought is, is that Elixir is poured into the gold walls to transform them into the Crystal walls and above, thus the need for Elixir in the walls.
As for the current thread topic, Spells as stated before are offense, Offense is primarily Elixir and Dark Elixir, Gold should be left for defenses and TH upgrades
Yeah, SC please do that and let 70% of ur users retire frm CoC.
Gold upgrades are already hard to maintain, that is the reason why SC got elixir wall update.
Trust me, if SC were to follow this, the will be tons of thread everyday on this forum where people will brag about using "5 spells in day; yeahhhh the loot was so great today that i ended up using 5 spells all day long yayyyyyyyyy"
