The current loot system is complex and will require more than a single fix to resolve. I see it as a big puzzle that will require multiple pieces to improve. Below is my suggestion on how to fix or at the very least improve the system while leaving the bulk of the current system in place.
- Increase collectors rate by 15% - Not a huge change but enough to generate more per day. While not a huge impact on an individual spread out across all users this will make an impact.
- Add an achievement for upgrading collectors - This is very simple and will encourage everyone to upgrade their collector resources. My suggestion would be level 5 (5gems), level 8 (10 gems) and level 11 (20 gems) as the goals. This will ensure many player upgrade so they can get easy gems.
- Give the next fee to the person you 'next' over - Simple to do and it keeps that money in the economy. Scale the amount you get based off your townhall level compared to the person nexting over you just like we do now with attacking to prevent abuse.
- Increase win bonus for league - again very simple and should be easy to do. I would say each league needs to be evaluated individually but a solid 10-20% increase would be effective.
- Add win bonus for defense - Defenders take all the risk. Costly traps, lost loot, lost trophies... give them something for a winning defense.
Not all of these are my ideas but a collection of ideas I have seen. Some of these may have even been ruled out in the past but as we know things change. Either way I think these pieces of the puzzle will help the overall economy issue many players are experiencing.
Supercell likes their current formula but the game has grown so much and changed. We now have more townhall levels, more expensive upgrades, and far more players. Even implementing just a couple of these could have a huge positive impact on the game with minimal work effort. I hope consideration to this issue is being considered. Thank you for your time.
