Would it not have big performance hit, lag and memory issues storing and rendering all those different skins for all the different types of troops.
AWSOME! This is very original and I think it's a great idea since it doesn't give a power boost but changes their appearance and makes it more fun!

Yeah changing troop skin would be fun...but basically how a roman golem would be different from a celtic golem???
The archer barbarian I get it, but dragons, hounds and so on...i don't really see...

As stated in the original post, Dark troops would not be changed by the skins. Dragons could be different easily. A medieval dragon is dark red and larger, an Atlantean Dragon is blue and more serpentine, A Greco-Roman Dragon would have the look of a hydra, and so on.

I think that the idea of having skins in game would be cool and having like giants with coral coming off their backs? That would be awesome as well as some other skin ideas posted in said thread. This should totally be in the next update if SC doesn't recognize this as an amazing idea they're crazy
Your idea is to add new troop skins but why not just add a new look to the entire game? So if you choose the medieval skin then all your buildings would look medieval.
Also apparently new flags will lag the game. So an entire new set of troop skins will probably lag it too.
Did you get this idea from minecraft texture/resource packs?? My friend had a similar idea.
