    Pre update.... I was dumping gold into walls as fast as I could - every 500K I got.
    I had excess elixir... for arguments sake 3 mil. Which just sat there.

    If I raided 2 mil gold and 2 mil elixir per day... that was 4 walls
    Now if I raid 2 mil gold and 2 mil elixir per day thats 8 walls.

    In other words I'm not upgrading the same amount of walls - I have basically doubled the number of walls I can do.

    I don't have anything else to do at TH9 except walls and Heroes (and now a DE troop...)


    In fact I'd say that DE is one of the resources which has improved. After the last Hero update I noticed that people didn't seem to be collecting as much.. but in anticipation of the new troop and heroes being potentially more useful
    I'm finding DE storage loot has increased.

    People will always need to save for new troops etc. but people aren't necessarily having full elixir storages for months on end .. just sitting there

    Edit: I used to put a full elixir storage near my TH so when it was sniped others could take some of the excess elixir I had. All that has gone / is going into walls.

    Lava hound not worth it

    I gemmed the hounds to level 3, in my opinion they are horrible, and not worth it, at max level they are 510 dark elixir per unit, INSANE!!! they do virtually no damage to air defense, they have 6700 hp but seem to get shredded very quickly. I tried them with minions and baloons, and later with dragons...NO COMBINATION worked as i hoped.
    i have more success taking air defense out with hogs...

    Ok, calm down.

    Ok, people can dump their gold and elix into walls. But how many want or need to? Only players with maxed defences at a particular town hall level really hammer gold into walls, so that only means a slight increase of that THs population dumping heavy elix into walls, as lab uses elix slower than defences do gold.
    I find it highly unlikely ANY elix was put into walls by previously maxed th10s today, because they could get rid of 14.5 million in upgrades.
    Edit: unless of course they have tiny little baby cheap walls of course, but then would be further away from next upgrade.....

    Update is great, except for (and thats a HUGE except): loot.

    Loot is terrible right now at High Crystal, Masters and Champions.

    Look, the sky is not falling. Loot is dry right now, but it is after EVERY update.

    People are still going to need to save up elixir, for upgrading troops, spells, lab, and so on.

    That means that people will have elixir to steal. Just wait for the dust to settle.

Before, you had to use gold on walls and defenses and people sat around with completely full elixir storages because there was nothing to spend it on. Even with gold being used for all walls and upgrades, there was still plenty available. Now, with elixir, it gives upper TH8 and TH9 bases something to use their elixir on while they finish upgrading their defenses. When I was finishing defenses at TH8 & TH9, I had full elixir for months because there was nothing to use it on. Even at TH10, once all you have left is lab upgrades, you spend 3-6 days at a time with full elixir waiting on your lab. The update solves that problem.

    5) Some people will pour elixir into walls when their lab upgrades are done at A TH level, but that's maybe 5% of players at that TH level. There will always be people saving elixir to do lab upgrades at similar TH levels. And TH10s will be using elixir on walls once their lab is done, but at that point, a lot of walls will take $3M+ to upgrade, meaning there will be plenty available as those bases save to get up to the $3M.

    Great update Supercell. Everything in this update was to make the game more player friendly, and all you guys can do is complain. No complaints other than the trolls who always complain about everything coming out of the woodwork.
    Point #4 is kind of a contradiction in my opinion. How is it ridiculous to think that using elixir for walls will kill the economy? You basically stated that fact in your point without even knowing it.

So instead of people holding onto elixir, which will allow others to farm them, they go and drop it into walls which will in effect kill the economy when it comes to elixir.

    Video Review of the Upgrade

    Guys,

    Here is a video review of the upgrade (I don't complain about loot in the video, that's not the purpose):

    Economy ruined

    I used to create 10-15 giants then archers, some mag. and angels for my attacks, at the end I spend something near to 100K elisir, so how can I get refunded when in the average I find only around 50-60K elisir??


    The only way to find enough elisir is with players that already have at least lvl8 walls, or with players that save it into deposits for high upgrades, that is you can only find good elisir fighting against strong people.


    Probably the people happy with this upgrade are players lvl50-70, assuming 50 is when you start to have lvl6 walls, because they dont have to save lot of elisir for upgrades and can use it for walls, and th10 players with maxed troups that use lots of dark elisir for attacks and have hope to steal a lot and got the opportunity to make better walls.


    Elisir was meant for troups, giving the choice to use it also for something different and attractive ruined the economy and the game.
