Up until this update, I would always defend loot when others complained about it. Up until this update, as a TH 10 I could happily farm in C1 with a 30min army comp. I farmed off of some inactives, but mostly actives with high storage content.
It was painful reading the early posts in this thread with people praising the good loot... Of course the loot was good for a while right after the update. Loot always rocks post updates for a little while for obvious reasons. However, ever since the post update looting-fest concluded, loot has been dreadful!! This has to be 100% due to the update's new ability to spend elixir on walls. Now everyone is experiencing the "wall upgrading fever." When the sneak peek was announced for the new elixir spending feature to upgrade walls, I even posted in the sneak peek thread that it makes perfect sense for SC to somehow balance loot with this change, be it loot bonus increase or what have you. This didn't happen, and now the dreadful loot drought has come to no surprise.
I farm in C1 for 2 reasons. 1.) The decent loot bonus. 2.) Loot (wasn't) fully dependent on finding inactives. Now there's simply no loot other than inactives.
So my fellow forumers, I'd like to hear your opinions here because maybe I've just had the worst (long) run of bad luck searching for loot I've ever experienced over the past year and a half. Is loot as bad for you? If you are still experiencing good loot, please include the level of your TH. Again I've never had issues with loot at any TH level, but I'd prefer to not be told by a bunch of TH 8's that "loot is still great".
I appreciate any and all mature responses!
P.S. I almost created a thread for this but I prefer not to cluster the forum with a common complaint thread.
Oh, and, I like the update a lot other than the loot drought it brought!!
