Is there a way to stop th9's from stealing all my loot as a th8?

Sorry but there really is no way. A capable Th9 attacker will always take Th8' resources, even if it's maxed. As you can't even drop much lower all I can really say is hang in there, it'll get better

Let me guess, Max Giants? Use an anti hog farming base and have loons on CC defense. Theyre very good vs Giants.

try play for long periods and hopefully get a cheap th snipe shield.

No you can't stop it but a decent farming base will help. Really this shouldn't be a regular thing, when I was th8 I wasn't getting hit that often. It may seem odd advice but I think you need to raise your trophies considerably. Some th9 hide down in silver, premmies usually. They would get eaten alive by other th9 but if they have giants 6 they can easily raid th8. There are not a lot of th8 in silver so you make a good target for them.

This used to be me. Now I'm one of the th9s bullying little th8s for their loot. It will be you some day. Deal with it until then.

There is not much you can do other than just test different layouts and leave your townhall outside for town hall snipers to give you a shield. Be happy that there is a loot penalty so they dont get as much loot.



Also you could try and spend your resources so you will be less of an attractive target.

I never see any th 8s with big loot now, so I am thinking I will be out of luck when I get to th 9.

I usually keep my storages empty as possible, and when a worker is going to finish an upgrade in 6 hours, I raid as much as I can(because you get kicked off after playing 6 hours straight.). When workers finish, I spend as much gold as possible on walls before I use the remaining gold on towers etc. I always have a lot of extra elixir though, but when elixir walls come out, I can empty elixir getting level 8 walls. Rinse and repeat, no th9s have raided me ever since.

TL; DR, keep storages empty and defenses good. No TH9 will want to attack you.

Usually i try to keep my storages as empty as possible as I plan out what I will be upgrading that day and farm just enough so I can upgrade it and have some to search for bases later that day

As for the suggestion of upping my trophies what would you recommend I go to? keep in mind I barch collector bases mostly
