Sums it up. And there are a few around that started playing before spells existed at all. And then when they first were introduced they took 12-15 HOURS PER SPELL to cook, so NO ONE used them at all. Except for once a day, kind of as a joke. But... it did teach you how to raid without them. And you always felt 'dirty' if you had to use a spell at all, especially when farming.
Then... spells used elixir, and even an old school player who had been through all those other things learned it was pretty smart to use spells all over the place, even to zap DE. Why not? Elixir is (was) useless...
However, I think this does represent an interesting balance to the game.
I remember them only ever at 2 hours? Not 12-15?!? The santa spell was 25 hours, but that was special. Maybe I didn't start early enough
With the change to upgrading walls with elixir will we see less people zapping DE and using spells in general post update? Perhaps this was part of the reason for the change in some roundabout way. It certainly makes elixir more valuable in my opinion. Thoughts?
i only use use lix for maybe 1 or 2 walls...but Ibe just become th8 and have quite the amount of upgrades...I'm about to go into master league tho so I'm gonna be zapping for sure.
