The end of DE zappers and using less spells?

I Still Zap DE

I STRONGLY dislike you Raid de with troops, not lightning spells, and stop stealing it from people who get theirs legitly, you lowly TH 7!

Then it seems like less people will zap. Though I wouldn't count on the th7-8s playing along since they are de starved and swimming in loot.

I'm a TH 8 and I never zap. I raid. Just like most well developed TH 8's.

No matter what they do...de zapping will always happen in my view....ppl love it...if only they knew how to attack to get it! Only time i zap de is if i try to help a follow farmer and take th outside and he has traps near it...then i forget about th and ♥♥♥♥ his loot lol

This is my policy also. If you're annoying enough to tesla/trap your wide open TH you deserve to have your DE zapped. The only times I don't do this is if I have no lightning or the person doesn't have any DE worth zapping.

Do th9's and certainly th10's even zap de? In my experience this scummy practice is the reserve of lower level th's unable to mine and raid the de conventionally. At th10 with three maxed drills you have de coming out of your ears. No need to waste your patiently trained spells on de zapping.

it is my opinion that the low level th's first getting a taste for de and maybe saving for that barb king will always zap. it is a big novelty at that level and the loss of elixir is worth getting your hands on a bit of de for the first time.

Sums it up. And there are a few around that started playing before spells existed at all. And then when they first were introduced they took 12-15 HOURS PER SPELL to cook, so NO ONE used them at all. Except for once a day, kind of as a joke. But... it did teach you how to raid without them. And you always felt 'dirty' if you had to use a spell at all, especially when farming.

Then... spells used elixir, and even an old school player who had been through all those other things learned it was pretty smart to use spells all over the place, even to zap DE. Why not? Elixir is (was) useless...

However, I think this does represent an interesting balance to the game.
