The end of DE zappers and using less spells?

With the change to upgrading walls with elixir will we see less people zapping DE and using spells in general post update? Perhaps this was part of the reason for the change in some roundabout way. It certainly makes elixir more valuable in my opinion. Thoughts?

100k is cheap for an army lol. If I try to spend a ton, I can burn 500k elixir in one raid lol.

Basically, ground attacks against the cores of developed bases aren't going to make much sense for people caring about loot anymore and the spell costs are a big part of that.

I was just GOWIWIPE'd and four storages were blown for a total Elixir/Gold payout of 400K to him plus the 75K/75K/400 M3 league bonus. However, the army cost nearly 350K elixir not to mention the 2900 dark on the golems and witches (and he didn't blow my fully centralized dark tank). This is only going to get worse in a month or so when I start leaving a builder idle and dumping my elixir into walls.

GOWI armies were never going to be very efficient but now you can literally make better profit in M3 with a single BARCH raid than with a single GOWI raid. I'm not really seeing what thats doing for the entertainment value of the game.

And its going to be similar in the lower leagues with giant/BARCH or Giant/Healder type armies too as you're easily looking at 200K elixir spend there once you drop two spells. You know have to deduct the cost of troops and spells from your profits.

And dark elixir zapping....yeah, looking quite marginal as well if the dumping is extreme enough.

No matter what they do...de zapping will always happen in my view....ppl love it...if only they knew how to attack to get it! Only time i zap de is if i try to help a follow farmer and take th outside and he has traps near it...then i forget about th and ♥♥♥♥ his loot lol

I had the same thoughts as well. I do think it will at least give zappers and spell spammers something to think about before using spells while farming.

I'm a mid max th9 with no elixir upgrades but healer left and I've been sitting on max elixir for weeks. I've been basically giving it away to raiders with the elixir in the outer layers of my walls. Of course that gravy train will end soon since I can now make more legos.

I'm talking about after the update when elixir can be used to upgrade walls. Are you still going to zap people or would you rather upgrade your walls with the elixir?

No. We hardly used spells when they cost gold to be honest. It changed farming completely...
