There may be too much elixir for some high th8s or 9s who do not have a Job and spend the whole the nexting to find a good enemy and think they have to max their town halls completely before going on the next Level.
Yes rushing your town hall is a bad thing, but spending half a year on black walls on th8 is also a bad idea.
For the majority of Players the elixir supply is still very short because you need elixir to Train troops, but no gold. When doing clan wars every 2 or 3 days with Dragon attacks and donating troops the war bases/attacks also elixir is really short. Since th8 I am constantly farming elixir only because every clan war costs at least 700-800K if we win.
I think the balancing should be changed so that most attacks are done with good troops on storages instead or barbarians on mines of inactive players. Also the league Bonus should be increased so that it makes sense to really win an attack and not only farm at low Levels and put your town hall outside. I have not placed my town hall inside since th6 and I am upgrading to th9 at the moment.
been trolling around and seeing a lot of people saying walls are going to cost elixir soon. but cant find any hard evidence of this,is there any? or is it just speculation from Steve's post saying there will be a change to the walls in the next update? Because if that is what people are going off of figuring the walls will soon be costing elixir....youre WRONG. what Steve was saying there is clearly indicating an option for multiple walls upgrading at once. btw....if walls start costing elixir, id be cool with that, im sitting on a maxed TH9 with full elixir and nothing to use it on....walls....i could go for that....but it would be a horrible idea....
For supercell anyway. It seems this change would help us players on the surface, but, when you think a little deeper it actually hurts all players across the board.
Since wall is almost indifinite source of resource sink, most players will be spending extra gold/elixir before every log-outs, this will add extra hardship already taking place on dry loot.
Now elixir is just as valuable as gold, everyone on farming are HUNGRY! they will raid almost every base. Unless you have 2 infernals guarding you will have really tough time keeping any sizable resources for any serious upgrades.
(edit to add following) And donation will nose dive pretty hard, why would I waste my elixir if I can get my walls upgraded with that resource.
And less willingness for clan wars, currently clan war is the good way to dump excessive elixir in exchange of some gold/dark, there is no point of doing that since elixir is maybe more valuable than gold now. Besides, donating troops to war cc also a waste of elixirs.
I have been reading the forums for awhile and is there honestly anything that would make everyone happy? Of course not but some of these posts are just crazy. SC reduced the price and training time for wizards for an event and people even complained about that. Seriously?![]()
The general consensus from older players was please don't reduce wall costs, well they didn't...they provided more options. I like to consider myself a true farmer and although I have not reached TH10 yet, I have worked very hard to max walls and troops at each TH. I can understand the frustration of some but think this will be a great update overall for the longevity of the game and am looking forward to the other sneak peeks. Besides think about how pleased you will be to have other options to upgrade your walls whenever TH11 does happen.
I am SO thankful the first post can be edited to provide the other sneak peeks so I don't have to scan through 100s of pages of complaints. This thread is already almost worse than the nerf to the heroes and hogs thread and it's just the first day. Let's just be patient and wait and see what's next. Who knows maybe SC will introduce something else to help balance the game...
Everyone here needs to chill out a bit. Don't jump to conclusions too early. I remember people complain about barch going to be ineffective because troops target same walls, I don't see complaint threads on that. I remember when spells started to cost elixir some were scared of low elixir or hard to train spells, now everyone loves it. Just wait for the update to release then you can make conclusions.
