TH9 attacking TH10 is SUPPOSED to be harder than TH10 attacking TH10. Giving lvl 5 spell factory to TH9 would be absolutely ridiculous and would totally unbalance the game.
Want freeze spell? Upgrade to TH10. No? Then realize there is a TH level above you, and it is SUPPOSED to be more powerful than TH9.
It shouldn't be easier, but every update makes it increasingly harder. Also, miss me with the loot is bad at th 10, raid th 9's for a 10% penalty, farm the same way everyone pretty much farms - 1 th down or a weak th at your level. Sorry, but two levels for pekka, a new spell, two discos, even better farming troops, larger camps, max drag and wiz, a third x-bow, another tesla level, and extra AT level in addition to having a 7th AT And 6th cannon (while also having more mines/drills/collectors) th 10 already had a far bigger advantage than any other th has one step above the previous (i.e. 6 to 7, 7 to 8, 8 to 9), at this point, th 11 needed to be added.

People will still saving up for research and abandoned base will still be around and I think we will find more abandoned base from people who quit because they don't like the update. People dump gold on wall today and yet we can still farm it. I don't see why it will become rarer.
Thats exactly the problem. Now we need to deduct elixir costs from total loot intake to calculate our profit.
I can make it work for me quite nicely with BARCH but we've lost something with the big attacks now being uneconomical.
I see a lot of talk on the forums about nothing having changed but I don't believe those people have really thought through the gameplay implications for many of the heavier, storage raiding farming comps. Most armies that mix in even tier 2 units and spells are now to expensive to use for farming.
th9s have the option to farm th8s. Th10s, on the other hand,have to deal with xbows/aq/4th gold storage etc. at the very least, and often have to take on their own level to make any gold.
If you think it's easier at th10, consider how much harder it is to 3 star a th9 (what with the gold storages being spread out) than it is to 3 star a th8.
my 0.02.
Pros: wall upgrading happens faster, if you are a fastener and maxed all upgrades and are stuck on walls, you can actually do it with both gold and elixir so you can spend your elixir, less elixir will be stolen from you as you have spent more of it now for wall upgrades.
cons: you can barely steal more elixir, weaker players will reach you easier, therefore your 250 Lego wall achievement would be like a smaller deal, you are probably gonna run low on elixir.
this is what I think, if you have any more cons and pros about this situation, feel free to post them on this thread.
p.s. Steal as much elixir you can before the update, not much elixir will be left by then.
Most farming armies aren't three starring a strong base one step down regardless. Th 10 has 25 more troop space (20 in camps and 5 in castle) and a freeze spell, if you can't get 75% of the loot with those advantages, you kinda suck at farming. X bows are laughable on lvl 6 giants (even the mighty lvl 3 (max for th 9) bowsdon't stop them). Ant Let's not act like every th 9 is some masterminded maxed out base
Especially when it comes to farming.
and I easily get 200k from th 8's and have seen whats available to th 10's when they attack me (over 200k anytime i cross 2.5m which is like all the time), you don't need to take on th 10 to make good gold, stop
