While i think some kind of "opt-out" button should be added.... I think it should be on the player side to choose to 'opt-out" not the leader or co-leaders choice.... You would have way to many people abusing the system of "you suck so ur not in war".

My clan has a few really nice casual players that dont like being caught up in the war drama.... They shouldnt have to leave and come back every time we want to war. Its not a hard thing to implement.

I agree it shouldn't be in the hands of the leaders, let every player decide.

That's why it is a sneak peek, not a meet and greet.

All we can do now is speculate and build up on the anticipation to revel in the greatness of the hound until the update is released. And then we can all see for ourselves, the gift of a new troop that is the hound.

the part that you're ignoring is that if there's an opt-out for nonparticipants, both sides are now more fairly matched because there will be 100% participation on both sides. Both sides will then be organized even if one of them has ten members on the sidelines.

This. So much this. This is all I hear when people argue against the opt in/out feature.

You are all arguing that participation wins wars. This is true. So why don't we even the fight and actually determine a victor based on skill? Real life issues are not avoidable or predictable. Skill is.

Vacation, sickness, etc. are all extremely valid reasons to not play clash of clans. CoC should be played around your real life, not the other way around. An opt in/out feature would balance this out.
