They do that in my clan too. We have no problems with it.
Let's face it... what this is about is everybody wants 100% participation in war, right?
I mean, that's the elephant in the room here. No one likes inactives in war.
But my proposed solution is hard work, loyalty, smart recruiting, good communication, creative solutions, etc.
What most people want is a Fix-My-Clan's-Low-Participation Button.
I just don't agree with it. I don't think it is fair to loyal, organized clans. Mostly, because it isn't.
And by the way, those are some of the lamest excuses for non-participation I've ever heard. If you are sick in bed, the only thing you're likely to do is play a video game. On vacation you have no free time? What kind of vacation is that? Travelling for work? I can't imagine a better way to pass time in an airport or on a bus than to clash.
Maybe if the dude went to prison.... but even then, any good clan can withstand losing two attacks because King Suchansuch got locked up again.
I've read many times things along the lines of "there's no good reason to not have this button." I say the reverse is actually true, and no Orwellian double-speak or Top 10 List of "Lame Excuses My Clannies Gave for Not Attacking" is likely to convince me otherwise. But then, maybe I'm just stubborn and old fashion. I like Clan Wars to mean "wars between clans." Not wars between the best and/or most loyal members of clans. But that's just me.
