But totally agree , I'll be doing this today before I start our clan war ..annoying

and sometimes we've had the odd occasion where we've expelled, forgotten to re.invite and for whats-so-ever reason, member hasn't been able to come back getting a " you're banned message" -- the only work around ( not even opening clan and lowering cups helped ) was the expelled person asking someone in global chat to come into our clan and then inviting the member after joining the clan and getting the elder status ... must be a bug somewhere ,as it's something that seems to happen rarely... the opt out button would keep the member in clan but not have them in war...

i have a friend, who has one of their members who died in a bike accident. they obviously keep him in the clan, and that TH only defends in wars. if they had an OPT OUT button it would help (:

Agree with this.

I don't know anyone who bothered upgrading the air mines until they ran out of stuff to keep builders busy on. Some even didn't bother then - waste of gold that could be used on walls. This gives us all an incentive to work on them.

Yup, glad I max out my air mines. Gonna put them in front of my AD, with single target inferno's and x-bow facing up, I think I shouldn't have problems against air raids.

5. LAVA HOUND NEW TROOP FOR DARK RACKS!, yea no waste product, we knew there was a new troop since #3.

anyone else feel like this thing coulda had 1 sneak peek, instead of 3.... 3 days of checking sneak peeks excited to see whats up, only to find them giving the same thing they alrdy gave.

They worked hard on this. let them have their fun. We'll have our new toy soon enough.

Without clan wars there is no "Clash of Clans" - it's a single player game with a chat feature at this point.

so people shouldn't judge the new troop harshly but they should discuss it because that is the purpose of the peeks is to spark interest.

The devs built up days of anticipation and then presented a niche troop. Let's be honest. The Valk has just never caught on. The Hogs have been reduced in effectiveness. The Witch is fine. Minion are fine. This is going to be sort a flying Golem with some added flair.

The reaction to this troop has generally been a sort of head-scratching "huh". I liken this to seeing a very cool movie trailer which turns out to be better than the movie.

I've personally parted ways with two very dear clans since CW came out. I definitely get that Clans can be about more than competitive Clashing because that is not how I play the game. The Clash team understands this as well.

Leaders selecting who can go to war presents it's own set of cons. For example, a leader could abuse that power of selection to the wrong end. A leader could consistently leave out a single player that he/she does not particularly like. I honestly think the solution you are suggesting would make the problem ever worse, and that's what we'd like to avoid.

We're extremely aware that this is something we need to look into, and we will, just not until we start working on the next round of Clan Wars features in the future.

Can't you just add an option to CC where you can chose to be elegible for wars or not?
It's getting really really annoying being kicked at least twice a week because I don't want to do wars.

I'm a hardcore farmer, all I care about is loot. Wars for me aren't interesting so I don't do them and I don't like them.
You are tearing clans apart this way. You can't force people into doing wars when they don't want to.

It's really a shame SC seems to fail to understand this...
