Anyone else upset that there are so many upgrateful, high maintenance, impossible to please people out there?

asking for them to not repeat themselves with sneak peeks isn't high maintenance or ungrateful,

its like if i was gonna give u $5, and i announced I AM GOING TO GIVE LEO FIVE DOLLARS.... then a minute later I AM GOING TO GIVE LEO FIVE HUNDRED PENNIES, then a minute later i announced I AM GOING TO GIVE LEO 1 HUNDRED NICKELS, than said I AM GOING TO GIVE LEO TWENTY QUARTERS,

Clan Wars is an add on to the game Clash of Clans.
Many people started this game before war was an option.
They didn't join Clash of Clan Wars.

I don't think you know what the word ignorant means. Look, war is all about who can get the most stars in the matchup given. It sounds like you've figured out a way to deal. Bully for you. But you don't seem to understand what war really is. It's about coordination and making sure the right people attack the right people for maximum damage. That takes a little leadership and strategy.

It seems you're still an everyman for himself type clan with no strategy. We get ridiculous overmatches with clans like that and we destroy them.

Let's look at things from my perspective. I've booted longtime members who have been in my clan for more than a year because of war inactivity. I've made a lot of tough choices including booting two maxed TH10s because they kept missing wars. I have built a clan where 100% of members participate in war and we leave no points on the board. Why should all of my hard work be taken away by a feature aimed at making life easier for the lazy?

Thats the thing tho.. You shouldn't have had to kick all of your loyal members who have been there over a year.. This is a major problem in every war clan and the opt out offers a simple solution to it.

all ur hard work? Gimme a break how happy would you have been to have this option from the start and not havto go thru everything u did. It's a game improvement that does make things a lot easier as it should be

Thanks for the explanation Steve.
However, there is still one point to consider: if a player is unable to play clash, for whatever reason (holidays, work, internet issues, health problems, ...), there are only 2 solutions: either he gets kicked out of the clan, or he is a burden to the rest of the clan during wars. Neither solutions are good.

That isn't the point that I'm making. I totally agree that that's why Supercell uses sneak peeks and I agree that people should be allowed to comment on them. However I strongly disagree with people dismissing the update details based upon their subjective judgement before the update is out. These people sound like they have no intention of changing their minds and that is fundamentally wrong!

Just finished maxing out th10 defenses as well.. And here i thought i could start working on walls..how foolish of me
