I guess they could, but it would be illogical to add it now. This update seems to be all about the new DE troop. Why would they take something away from that by having a new golem lvl . Also there is a lot of evidence to suggest that it isn't a new golem or drag lvl as people have been saying.

I agree, we need this feature. We have people in our clan that have been busy and missing war attacks, lowering our performance. Opting out would be such a great, easy fix.

Also for the lower members, sometimes they don't want to war, just farm and upgrade. Fair enough, right?

the clue to that is the horn on the skull on top of the new d-rax level, wich is also visible on the picture of the hiding troop. So this is neither a picture of golem L6, nor dragon L5 but surely the new troop.

Maybe dragon L5 is coming too, but sneak peek 4 is certainly not about that.

Do people think the new DE troop will be an air troop?

Considering how it smells fireworks and air defences Imo shoot firework-looking-rockets etc. Am putting my money on a flying troop or one that hates Air Defences more than anything, but the last option doesnt make any balancing sence Imho.

Yeah that and the fact it is a rock :/. Unless the pic they showed us was completely unrelated, I am doubting it's an air troop due to it looking like a rock/stone troop.
