Well the trouble is it's really hard to drop just one. if you have an archer, a dragon and a bunch of minions, and try to dump troops on the goblin trail, there's a 99.999% chance you're going to lose the dragon too.

In Galadon's video that Clash of Clans said 'contains a sneak peak inside', he said "What could possibly top the Golem"
The Witch was released after the Golem, so technically, the Witch tops the Golem. This implies a similarity to the Golem.

The picture revealed today looks similar to Golem in some ways, and said "I smell fireworks" - implying it's an air troop, as the air defences shoot fireworks.

Obviously this is still speculation, but as an educated guess - there is a pretty good chance this is the air equivalent to a Golem - low damage, high health, but in the air

*There is speculation about it being a phoenix because of the sneak peak video - the phoenix is a logo used in all of Galadon's videos, so it's quite unlikely it's related. At the same time, it's not impossible - there's a chance that they selected him for that particular sneak peak for that reason. Either way, this is just aesthetics and isn't too related to the functionality of what this troop will do (what my post is really about)

*There has also been mention of the troop not necessarily being an air troop, but possibly a ground troop (or still an air troop) that targets air defences in particular. Again, it's possible, but personally I don't find it too likely. If this is the case then I doubt it's an air troop at all, because an air troop that went straight for air defences... would most likely be way too overpowered and easy to wipe a base out with. Still seems unlikely in the case of a ground troop either, as no troops currently target a specific defence - but again, it's all speculation at this point so who knows

Sure it does! It doesn't matter *as much*, but it definitely still matters. I recently had a remarkably botched raid because a single archer triggered a defensive castle golem. That single troop nullified half my army when a large portion of my minions rushed into danger to engage it.

Wouldn't the golem have had to attack the archer to get the minions to rush it?

I can safely say I have never been worried about the odd ground troop in my CC and it has never given me any problems when I have had one.

Yeah, I was hoping to see something more than another teaser at the new troop. It's obvious with new dark barracks' level there is a new troop, so why waste more sneak peeks unveiling it instead of other stuff?

Go watch daddy's vids on YouTube the props in the background change every new vid about the New troop. Yesterday he gave a nod at the plane behind him. Today he's got a lava lamp hulk mask and the plane is different and says sky soldier on it. So I'm sure it's a flying troop. Good guess. I'd back it. Although I'd find it useful, it would probably be quite a boring troop since it's only used for winning battles. I'd want to see a troop that can be incorporated with farming in some way to add a spark to farming.

the clue was what he said about fireworks and having fairy eyes. but in my opinion it cant be a flying troop because his head its 2 heavy (rock/lava are very heavy to fly). by fireworks its possible he targets air defences as in i see fireworks and i want to destroy them.

thats only just my opinion, i can be wrong.
