Even if we do just get the one troop, I still think this is by far the best update since clan wars. My guess is that there will be one more sneak peak tomorrow that reveals the new troop, and a b sneak peak that gives us another little surprise. Excellent observations.

Here are my thoughts:

The phoenix isn't ruled out. What if it is a phoenix this whole time? And what if that's why they chose Galadon to give the sneak peek hint about what the troop is?

Also, i do agree that its probably a fire breathing troops or a fire throwing, or something that shoots some type of lava or flame.

Lets look at the dark troops:

Minion: Flying, small, fast, frail, hits all, grouped attackers
Hog Rider: Ground, jumps over walls, medium, fast-ish, tank-ish, defense first, grouped attackers
Valkyrie: Ground, medium, fast-ish, somewhat of a tank, hits multi buildings, hits all, grouped attackers
Golem: Ground, Large, slow, bulky tank, defense first, splits in 2, non grouped attacker
Witch: Ground, medium, fast-ish, frail, hits all, skeleton summons, grouped attacker for skeletons
NEW TROOP: Flying? Large? Slow? Tank? Hits all Buildings? Non grouped attacker?
NEW TROOP2: Flying? Large? Fast-ish? Tank-ish? Hits all Buildings?
