I would disagree on how bad the loot is, is it overflowing..no...but is it terrible not close...can find collector bases all the time some days harder to find then others...just like everything... I would be glad to tell you i think this update is cool to use elixir on walls (if you like) and make them easier. Although i dont see there being more loot as collector bases have similar if not the same amount of loot...so does that make loot better? Maybe..maybe not... I mean i really dont care in all reality its just a game...i know changes are made etc to everything...i just came to post my frustration a bit..still think its a great game just maybe not the timing that is all... Loot systems changed but i still think loot is fine..maybe not the best but not bad. I am sure if you would consider the length and time ive played you would maybe see it differently...im for the update cause walls are a pain but i mean there should be something to seperate...normal, weak and strong bases..not everyone should be the same if they work less or harder then a counterpart 😊
As a TH10 wall farmer who has half of my base with lvl9 walls, rest being lvl8, I do find this change a little unfair to others like me who have farmed hard for their walls. But then, this update will be beneficial to new players and I can't say that being able to upgrade walls with elixir is bad for them. We just gotta accept things uh?
Personally it would be sooooo much better if Supercell changed search cost to elixir. That would be a less controversial decision to make and players won't feel '♥♥♥♥♥ed' out of their time and effort taken to farm gold.
Supercell just has to somehow improve the loot. Otherwise, elixir, just like gold, will eventually become too difficult to find.
That's fine if you want to vent, and I understand people invested time into the game but at the end of the day it's just that. A game. A game in which the whole basis upon which it was built was to waste ones free time they had throughout the day. Anyone investing more time than they should takes that risk that whatever they invest may not be returned in full or with profit. Tis the way life goes, that's why investors can go from rags to riches at anytime it's a gamble. Also I don't think we're going to see a huge influx of kids with maxed walls or anything... I mean this sneak peek so far really only affects the people that are already upgrading or about to start upgrading walls. People are still going to have elixir just as they still have gold.
I see your point. But wouldn't that negate the opinion of everyone with high-level walls that claim it's unfair because it makes it easier to upgrade walls because they had a tough time upgrading walls?
After all, if elixir becomes hard to get, how does that make it any easier to upgrade walls with elixir?
Yeah totally agree, why would people start raiding to get elixir now for walls if previously they didnt want to raid gold for walls, completely get that. Besides them being able to do 1-2 walls more than maybe usual...still most wont spend all of their elixir or gold 1 million or more on a wall..or do them all...very true. I like it that now walls will be semi easier..or so we hope lol...which is great..and yes really hoping SC does so,ething great with this update..a new troop would be sweet as witches have been out for idk how long now lol..or a new spell..maybe? Just something to add a new element to the game would be sweet. In reality to high level players walls are just decoration as most troop comps etc avoid walls..or attacking is just too great and you really dont look at walls as they are a somewhat useless expense and yes you may not have the same value on what you started very good points
Walls, yes. Troops, a bit harder now. High level end game players will surely complain. Every develepment there is always a downside.
Imagine the slaves in Egypt pulling their blocks with no wheels to make the pyramid, what do you think their reaction would be when they saw us have cranes now to lift things?
This is for the new audience. The oldies are here to stay if they want to. They have to accept the fact that the game is evolving.
We should just make the walls require both gold AND elixir. So a level 8 wall is 250k gold and 250k lix. In fact, how about we just make every single upgrade cost both elixir and gold. 8 million for level 3 infernoes? How about 4m of each? We know that gold is already low and making upgrades half the cost of gold would help this. Adding an option to use all elixir, like in this wall update is bad though. It causes a lot of just one resource to leave the game.
If upgrades require both resources but at half price, each resource won't leave the game as fast as it would as an upgrade that requires only one type of resource. This causes the resources to still be equal in value as Supercell is trying to do in this update since its saying that 1 gold is equal to 1 elixir
