For Apple users, the update may be released from Thursday 18th onwards. Apple's new IOS 8 is being released on Wednesday 17th.

Th8 get two defense upgrade levels, th9 one.

SC have nothing to do with update delay, its apple.

And last ,you th9's, don't be afraid of th10 with ITs. If its premmie, you can take most of his loot anyways. Even well developed th10 can be prey if you use strenghtened barch army. I'm using 4 giants and 8 wizzies, sometimes also 2 witches, cos keeping dark down. If i got both heroes up, i can take most loot from 10's also. Just need some thinking, not blindly spam troops.

My bad - I guess going to Master 2 with my medium th9 only came from hitting th9 and exposed th... NOT. Many th 10 bases are more than hard to hit, true. But in Crystal leagues there are many players who went th 10, bought infernos and thinks that makes them impossible to hit.

Point is - a good th 9 player can hit many th 10 players with those infernos.

Im a TH9 currently at 3400 trophies, taking down them TH10s all day

Im a th 8 in gold 1 and Premie th 10's even with infernos arent even that difficult for me to hit. Just hit one today and got around 300k of eack in loot.

Apple has over 80,000 employees working for them in multiple departments of their main HQ and even more in their retail outlets.

There is a department dedicated to the iOS releases and a department for application/update approval, and numerous other departments for other things like product creations ect.. none of which coincide or interfere with the process of each other.

Therefore, the release of the Clash Of Clans update is not being held up for any reason other then SuperCell wanting to hold it back on their own free will. The developers can submit an update for approval, but also pick a date of when the update will be released in the app store, same goes for Google.

i have ios8 in my 5s, and COC is running smooth. so thats not the problem.

Apple approve takes usually few days. Supercell staff member (forgot who) said they try do sneak peeks in advance so that approve is done when sneak peeks end. Sometimes timing won't work like in cw update or now. So SC decided to give us gem boost while they and we wait apple to give approve.

Edit. Supercell does't give exact day, because its not on their hands. Is that so hard to understand?
