I finish my Lego walls last week and now I'm working on Lava. I welcome the change for upgrading walls, it will speed things up. Those who farmed and max their walls are pretty much screwed on the time they spent, the same scenario as heroes. It is what it is. Yes, the value of walls went down, but to get max walls you still have to farm them with optional resource to do it with when the update goes live.

Why is there no gold in matchmaking? Because we sink it on walls. Now elixir will be the same. Super sale has the answer though. "You can always gem your resources!"

Not sure what the next sneak peek is going to be and maybe it will restore balance to the cosmos but right now I'm seeing a massive disincentive for aggressive attacking with farming comps, most cupping armies and....gasp....even engaging in clan wars. Armies and spells now effectively cost gold? Who in their right mind is going to want to be in a 24/7 war clan or try and blow four storages off TH9's and 10's in multiplayer if you can't squander elixir without feeling like a dolt?

One of the best changes that SC ever made was to switch spells from gold to elixir as it meant we could just let it fly and raid without consulting the accountants.

A lot of people think loot is the joy of the game but its really secondary to letting loose on someone with an expensive army.

Spell-less BARCH is about the dullest gameplay experience available in the app store.

The only thing i can think of is that maybe players will be able to chose to use dark elixir for spells. That would seem to restore some sanity and (at least in some instances) incentivize blowing people up properly again.

It's gonna be tough because when farming gold for upgrades I try find bases with decent elixir to cover my troop costs. Now a base with 250k told and 10k elixir has gotta be skipped. I find farming gold pretty easy compared to elixir for some reason.

You guys really think you can do walls 2x faster after update? Think again. There isn't so many players out there with filled elixir storages.Maybe like few % of all. They will dumb elixir on walls and so do others when they have plenty. So where you get that 2x rate? I'd say, you can do walls maybe 20% faster than before. There isn't infinite elixir...

Since I BARCH I can get a full elixir storage in a day. Can't wait to finish skull walls. Not a big achievement anymore sadly :/

True, that is why, before this upgrade happens, I am going to loot all the TH9s of their elixir to upgrade my last pekka. After that, I can dump all of my gold and elixir into walls! Muahaha!!

i haven't had elixir upgrades in months, the only reason I'm not th10 is because of my walls. i just have giant useless balls of bubblegum with nothing to spend it on aside from pushing. there is so much more outstanding elixir than there is gold in our nice little economy. if they wanted it to be easier to upgrade walls they should have just injected gold into the system when needed

Just a thought, but dont you think now that walls cost gold and elixir the clash economy is going to be even worse because people are spending gold on walls and elixir on walls
