I agree with this completely. I've come to the stage where all my buildings and lab upgrades are done and I fear every new update that there will again start the grind for more resources to upgrade some more buildings and troop levels.

I will be jumping from happiness if we had the quests, if we had opt-out for wars, if we had clan perks for winning wars (5% more resources gained from each raid if you won 50 wars, more often obstacles grow if you won 100 clan wars, 10% reduced build time for units if you won 150 wars with clan). This would make people want to war and increase the hunger for better clans.

And quests would be something I would be coming back to every day (if those were daily ones). Any decent story to the game would definitely help too - like discovering new territories, fighting for them with others, being able to find e.g. loot for each member of the clan if that was a clan quest. There is an infinite of possibilities.

Do not get me wrong, some additions are nice to have for sure. Reduced Hero regen time is one of them, but it still won't make me to go back to the game every 15 minutes like I used to in the past.

somehow I don't think the mext sneak peek will tell us the new troop just yet, we'll have to wait until tomorrow or even friday, maybe they won't even tell us?! You'll find out in your dark rax once the update has loaded...ugh! too much suspence!!!
There are a lot of hints that the new troop will be a phoenix or a firery airbourne troop.
Except for minions, all dark troops have a speciality, so what will it be of the new troop? Immunity against IT or reduced damage from IT? or will it target IT? Or will it splash damage upon death like the loons do?
A flying tank is too OP imo, also lava doesn't go with a burning phoenix....all that makes me expect
a ground troop, maybe it takes less IT-damage and splashes lava on walls, on death explodes to make a big splash damage, it'll be slow but not tank as much as golem and take 15-20 housing space.
As opposed to a phoenix rather I am thinking there maybe another lvl for the dragons...at lvl4 their eyes are firery, maybe at L5 they'll be all fire?
Then all this wizzard time leads me to expect more in that direction, oddly there's less speculation now on that topic...

I have a max TH10 with only walls to do (until this update is out) so yes I would have a TH11. But I would have all the stuff mentioned above over that new TH.
Maybe you're maxed too and enjoy doing just walls but I'd rather have to grind for new stuff than not have anything to do.

We seem to be in a similar boat. Content is the only thing that I am really interested in...I am very very close to end game and ironically, helping me upgrade walls faster accelerates the progress to me quitting lol...Although to be honest, I would probably quit before completing walls / heroes because doing that is simply no fun and with a lot of my clan in a similar boat, even clan chat is not the draw it used to be...so no chatting to waste some time - everyone is stuck looking at clouds in search of a bit of gold

The game has been wildly successful as is. I see a lot of end game players wanting these things and well your numbers are small in comparison to the people who enjoy the game as is.
