Agreed! I was wondering why not reduce the price of walls instead of using elixers then it hit me. Elixers and gold are basically the same price in coc (correct me if I'm wrong, I've never actually bought resources). A gemmer would have to spend the same amount whether it's gold or elixer so sc doesn't lose money on their gemmers.

Let me put it in a comparison to explain what I am saying.

Hypothesis: I am a 23 year old, graduated and have a law degree. I come in a law firm as a juniar associate and demand to have the same paycheck, same privileges, etc. as a partner of 55 years old in the law firm.

Common sense: won't happen as the partner has worked years on it and due to his work he became successful. Hence I should not be allowed to become partner when I just get in.

SC reasoning: I started later, so the requirements to make partner should be lowered so we can have more partners. How would you feel if you were the 55 year old partner whom spend tons of work and time to get the title while I just did the bare minimum?

You tell me what you think. This is obviously an exaggeration, but quite accurately symbolizes what is happening here. New members get treated differently compared to older people.

Elasticity. If that junior associate could go to other firms (games in the analogy), you have to make some form of concession to make that person stay with you. If you say, "you'll never be as good as partner X", that's not likely to sit well with someone who has thousands of other options. You cater to them a little and say "I know it took him 30 years to get there, but maybe it will only take you 25", or something along those lines. It's not instant gratification, it's concessions designed to make new players stick around.

Dear supercell i'm not too happy about this when i was grindin lvl9 walls (finished doing lvl10) my exiler was atleast full for 3,5 mounths, that i couldnt spend and couldnt save because the storage was full 3,5 mounthes of raided exiler wasted! And now you giving new players a free pass with this exiler thing, it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off ... They should had the same grind as everyone did. now they can up there walls twice as fast as we did this is complete and utterly disrespectfull for everyone who farmed there walls, shame on you sc

Some will love it, some will hate it. But we need to stop worrying about how "older" players will react. We've already experienced the best of the game, and we don't need to worry about lower levels catching up. The game has fundamentally changed several times since "older" players started.

How about those "older" players who farmed before the loot change? Didn't they reap the benefits of less competition for those easy collector raids?
