An idea to improve clan searching!
Hello Clashers!
I have noticed that many people (including myself) has problems with finding a specific clan, because there are so many of them!
There has been suggestions of removing clans that are inactive, or do not meet a certain requirement. That way, there will be less clans, which will mean it would be easier to find certain clans.
I, for one, do not quite agree with removing clans. So I propose another solution: A better search function.
The present one only has a option: The clan name.
It works sometimes, but not every time. Usually, when I search a clan name, a dozen other clans pop up. So I suggest more ways to search for a clan, as follows:
-Clan flag
-Clan Member
-Clan trophies requirement
-Clan Leader name
You will notice that you would have to know about the clan first in order to know these information. Well, these functions are more directed to people who knows the clan well. Perhaps a friend wants you to join their clan, or someone on the forums suggests their clan to you, including the basic information of their clan. To search their clan name may result in quite a few clans. So if you know the flag or amount of members or trophies requirement or leader of the clan, it would make it much easier.
These search functions could be next to the clan name search bar.
But what if you don't? What if all you know about the clan is the name?
Here is another suggestion: Category's
Know how some clans are feeder clans, some are farmers, etc.?
We could have just that!
Next to the search bar could be a button, when clicked on would let you choose which status the clan you are looking for is.
Every clan would be required to choose whether or not they are a feeder, farmer, neutral, or etc... Only the LEADERS can edit this.
This option would narrow the amount of clans that would pop up during a search.
It could be designed like this:
The search bar, then next to it, little icons with pictures representing clan flag search, clan member search, etc.
When clicked on, there will be a bar below the icon that would pop up, asking you to insert the flag of the clan, amount of members in the clan, etc.
There is yet ANOTHER search function that I have come up with.
Know how in the clan, co-leaders and leaders could edit the description of the clan?
Well, I think that there would be a little description that the clan could make. It could only include KEY WORDS. When players search for the clan, there could be a little icon that they could input key words. They do not have to be word for word, but has to be similar. Here is a example:
Clan description: Lev 80+. Lev 5 troops. Active. Donate a lot. No cursing.
If I want to search for a clan like that, or a specific clan that I know says that, I could search something similar, or word for word, as listed below:
My search: Active. Donate a lot. Lev 5 troops.
If I enter that, dozens of clans could pop up. That way, if I want to join a clan like that, the clans that show up could have those rules, and members.
If I search the description, and input the name of the clan, the results would be way more accurate.
Only the leaders and co-leaders could edit this description.
These ideas are what I think should be included to make the search function better.
