Why do you even care? If you already have completed your "Coc journey", it doesn't really matter if walls cost elixir now aswell, you're probably already completely maxed.
By the way, I think 99% isn't capable of maxing GG within 8 months, that's just no life playing every day, just pathetic...

The problem with the new coming update is when u upgrade ur th and u need elixir to upgrade new troops finding bases with decent elixir loots will be difficult

I just did the math, your saying that you maxed out GG in 240 days, so 2,000,000,000/240=8.33mill every day, this means that you have to play an average of around 8 hours a day raiding approx every 15 minutes finding 250k on every single raid. Im pretty sure that no one can play 8 hours every day for 8 months, this is unrealistic, no one can play that much unless you have been stuck in hospital for 8 months. I will only believe you once you prove the date you started.
To do this go to Game Centre->Games->Clash of Clans->Achievements->Bigger coffers (this is the achievment when you get your gold storages to lvl 2, which is pretty much the day you started), once you can show me a screen shot of that and you GG then i will believe you
