I've got 38 evergreens, all on the outer ring where you can't build. I will keep them. I would probably keep 39, but that is operating on the assumption that a gem box counts as an obstacle, and the idea that you can only have 40 obstacles. I would not keep a 40th tree that prevents gem boxes.

Wolf your base looks awesome. I got bored of my 38 trees and am now mixing it up with some mush rooms but the '10 on each side ' thing is inspiring me

I'm sitting at 35 pine trees fully outside my village grid, hopefully in the next month or two I'll be at 40. I'm beginning to question wether i should keep them or not. Reason being is TH11 (when it does finally come). When clash was new the grid was smaller, and there was a darker grass around the grid. They expanded the grid into the grass for TH10, and I'm sure when TH11 comes they'll expand the grid again. Doing so will put my forest of trees into the village.

Thanks fette! 10 on each side actually wasn't too hard to control. Just set-up the manipulation (no 3x3 spaces, and a 1 space gap between all buildings and the border), and when you get 10 on each side, just put those buildings on that side back into a more "normal" space. Think I'll keep the trees for right now thanks to your compliment

I have 32 broccoli trees and three 2012 Christmas trees. The five remaining places are reserved for future spawns. No need to prune my forest.
