Thatd never be able to get enough mods to cover all globals, in all languages, at all times.

You don't need to have policemen walking around all the time and for them to know every language. All you need is to know they are there if needed.

Most of the people in global will talk in English anyway.

At this rate I will be ignoring everyone. You press mute on one person and three others are carrying on with arguing with the nasty tikes. Then you have to delete all of the nice ones so that you don't see any of the conversation.

Mods can be quite intrusive, and Runescape forum mods are quite bad. Their player ingame mods are totally different. They are helpful, kind and will not let people give abuse at all.

I totally see what you mean but it's more to do with helping the kids out. They should know it's out of order talking to perfect strangers in the way they do, and by going down the player mod road they will be showing that they will not stand for it.

On many occasions I have spoken to them kindly and fairly and they have apologised, then again others say silly things like they will burn my house down with my family in it and other outlandish things.

Tough comparison man, actual legal trouble in real life is usually far more serious than being banned from a chat in a video game.

Anyway, global is an absolute cesspool of the most immature and purely idiotic behavior. SC knows this, and has given up on it. The sheer amount of man power it would take to regulate global would be astounding and not worth the cost at all. They have won, leave global and retreat to your clan chat. Or, have a much thicker skin.

Hey there. It's not really a tough comparison. Just like a criminal breaking the rules. These people on the cesspit we call global are breaking the rules. So quite a good comparison really.

It would cost them nothing as it will be player mods that do not get paid. Just people who have a love for the game that do not want to see it being ruined by fowl mouthed children.

My skin is extremely thick though sadly not everyone else's is. And as I parent I would not want my son playing the game.

He is 19 now so he would tell me to jog on but as a child he would have been banned.

I have seen instances of what would appear to be grooming of children and we can not ignore that.

Let me solve your problem OP, never ever under any circumstances go on global. I have played this game for about 10 months and never been abused in any way shape or form. Global is for lonely low lives with nothing better to do but stir trouble to get some virtual attention that they are clearly lacking outside of the game.

I totally agree with you. I do though see it a little more different.

Why should others have to suffer because of lazy game creators. Not only that but we are also doing wrong to the people that are acting in such a behaviour. If non tolerance is asserted it shows them that they need to change their ways. Then global can be for everyone and not just the nasty ones. (whom in real life might actually be really nice kids)

I play quite a few online games from runescape for pking to Warcraft for raiding.
All of which bring a certain amount of obnoxious players. Out of all the games I play I find it is Runescape is trying it's best to calm things down by using player moderators.

Clash of clans is probably the worst I have ever seen for obnoxious players. We all have bad days I get that, but these are far from that.

I know of four people that have quit due to the torrent of abuse sent their way.

All we get from Supercell is an report and mute button. When what we really need are Mods on global that will be able to mute people and send reports to Supercell to recommend bans. Thus freeing up time for Supercell to get things right on this new game.

The games that last are the ones that listen to their players and ignoring them does nothing for a new game.

Fingers crossed this game will be around for a while as it is good. It's a long way off of being excellent though. By sorting out this issue I personally think it would make for a more enjoyable experience.

Edited. Runescape has apparently 18 million active players. The total amount of player mods are 2000. They have not got it totally right yet but they are trying.

No. Seriously, you have the mute and report button. Use it. It's not that hard to. Or just don't go on global. There would be way too many serer to be moderated and it wouldhave to be moderated 24/7.
