    There is no logic to this change, it achieves the opposite of what it is trying to do. The trophy system already protects noobs from getting hammered, when last did a level 16 get nailed by a level 60?
    This reduction has destroyed the balance, the game is getting freakin boring when I havta do 7000 raids to make enough to do 1 upgrade.

    Think about it: it is no longer practical to build the kind of troops you might have bought Gems to upgrade for - Darks, drags etc. Now... because I cannot find a target above 80 to 100 available loot anymore, my only option is to use as few basic troops as possible to raid and lose. Pretty soon i'm down amongst the noobs again who have no air defense etc, then I'm gonna flatten someone with just 1 dragon.... climb too high in trophies, - start raiding again.

    This reduction does the opposite it means to continue I havta make sure my trophies are as low as possible, exposing those poor noobs to my level 60 capabilities....

    I can understand people being frustrated for the league system. Reason to get trophies or to give them some meaning also for non-gemmers has been blown up sky high. I do understand perfectly that things need tuning but in comparison, the loot you get is like giving a Formula 1 Racer a Renault Twingo to "start" making a car perfectly fitting for him/her.
    Supercell simply has to know how many Resources people spend at what trophy range only on troop production. It seems mindblowing easy to understand that 5k gold/ elixier isn't doing anything for you at 1800 when you need to have a certain composition to blow consequently against TH9 (and get 1-2 stars) while upgrading your TH8 (which at the moment is even as TH8 not that easy).

    I kinda expected that Supercell would realize that and consider it in their test tuning to set a starting point from which they can go and not to start 100m below that stage.

    Kudos to you Lazzarus, these are some of the best suggestions I have read to encourage trophy hunting

    Another thought I had was if you get a league bonus for a successful attack, why don't you get a bonus for a successful defence? I think you should

    I totally agree with you! The paltry amounts you get from the league doesn't make up for the loss in loot. I enjoyed the high you get from scoring 150K-300K in a raid. If they don't fix this there's no reason for me to play and buy more gems.

    So far I put in $30 so far to get all 5 builders, and I have no regrets as it provided 2 months of entertainment. I was thinking of buying more to speed up the upgrade for better troops and getting the archer queen but this latest upgrade squashed that.

    I'll keep playing for awhile to see if they'll fix the loot issue or improve the loot amount.

    If not I'll move on as there's no enjoyment in having to shuffle through endless number of villages with only 30K - 70K of gold to steal. When you do fine one with 200K it usually a TH8/TH9 which can't be cracked with the current troops. They've broken the cycle.

    Who said TH8 should be at 1800 (assuming you want to farm comfortably)?

    TH8 should be between 1300-1500 if want to farm comfortably.

    You need to get to TH9 and get lv 6 troops to farm comfortably between 1600-2000. If you want to go higher, then you need to add some strong dark troops as well, or you can do without them if you are really good.

    People, do not assume some trophy range is suitable for any TH level below 9 without maxed troops. A lot of them turn out to be incorrect assumptions. Max your troops first, then you should be able to farm at about almost all trophy ranges, maybe even above Masters League (this needs to be tested though).

    My thoughts, after a full day's play;

    The league is pointless. I'm hanging in around the upper section of 'Silver 1' - I have more attacks/wins than anyone else around me because I jumped through from Silver III - your wins are not taken into account, in fact nothing is, bar your trophy count. Pointless. You're top of one league one day, and bottom of the next one up another day ... and so on, until you reach the max you can without spending a tonne.

    There's no reward for good players.

    The game has crashed on me at least 5 times since update too. It just hangs when searching for a base to attack ... then drops out and the game just closes. Great ... Not fun for someone who likes to use their gems to speed up troops - the only reason I buy them lately.

    I sincerely think that SC should give back at least 10% to anyone who spent on the game. No matter the amount. Give it back in gems at least. Because I feel most of these "updates" should have been default in the game upon release. They're using players as guinea pigs really - like some lengthy Beta testing. BUT ... taking their money on the side.

    No other business would work in this manner.

    btw, I'm not asking for anyone else's opinion, have your own, and stop trying to moderate ... we all have a right to our own, no matter what it be. The only ones who should be responding to posts here are SC staff.
    Big bump, been saying for months that they treat us as beta testers for them.... Put out unfinished unthought out product then change as they go. They should never reduce times that people either waited one or spent to achieve (talking about research times.). They should think this stuff out prior to letting out new updates.
