    Pros and cons of the update
    Pros:
    Discourages farming
    ROTATING WALLS, FINALLY!

    Cons:
    Level no longer displayed beside a players name
    Low loots in leagues
    Coming back for a little bit, although I won't be very active.

    It's a good update. The league system just doesn't really work right now. But they'll iterate on it until it does.
    Sorry but I don't consider the fixes as updates even tho they have been included with the update. They are just problems that needed fixing. The big things they introduced are the leagues, golem, CC5, and tesla7. League is hugely disappointing and certainly no alternative to farming. Other stuff is all high level stuff. Faster spell builds just mean more DE lightning raids! Wall rotation is nice but not important.

    Steve, what is the reason to view others in our leagues if we can't select these people to attack?

    The conundrum as always - to increase your trophy count, you need to upgrade your defenses/army. However to upgrade your defenses/army, you need to decrease your trophy count (in order to raid resources for easy wins with cheap troops).

    Loot bonuses can solve that problem! They are a great idea but way too low. Imagine this:
    1400 cups gets 50k each
    1700 cups gets 100k each
    2000 cups gets 200k each
    2300 cups gets 300k each
    2600 cups gets 400k each

    And so on. In addition, you only get the bonus for destroying the town hall. Now THAT would put an end to farming altogether and make trophies really meaningful. Imagine a 12 dragon attack with 4 spells actually being profitable!!!

    Being perfectly honest, the update was GREAT. Bug fixes, new goodies (even if mostly for TH 9), and chat improvements. Honestly, if the trophy leagues and storage adjustments weren't there, I would have given the update a perfect score.

    Let's be perfectly honest here, though, loot dropped. Total loot dropped. While this isn't true for players at 2600+ (as an example. I, of course, can't give a completely accurate estimation of where this occurs.), for the vast majority of players, the 20% reduction in loot from storages, when they have less than about 800k in them (and small reductions between 800k and 1 million), far far outweighs the bonus loot.

    I really feel that this update leaves many people worse off than before, with regard to loot. Mid level frmers seem to be the ones taking the biggest hit here. They simply aren't capable of going way over 2000 trophies, where the loot bonuses are somewhat significant (not to mention that those counts are difficult to sustain without gemming for most players). On the other side of the equation, they now get less loot from raiding players with less than capped storages.

    That being said, I actually didn't panic right away when I saw that the storage percentage was dropped. I hadn't looked at the league bonuses yet and simply assumed that this was to keep loots from getting too good. The common assumption, aided by the meetup video, was that loot bonuses were going to be fairly substantial, in which case reducing loot from the storages would have been an acceptable step to take. It could have been a simple trade-off: more loot for winning and less from farming.

    Instead, we got almost nonexistent bonuses, at least for 95% of players, and a reduction in loot. Paired with ever growing costs to max bases (7 million for lvl 5 Castle anyone?), this poses a problem. At the same time, it is understandable that Supercell didn't want to create a situation in which players could make massive profits from just hitting an isolated town hall, but I think there is certainly a better way to do this than what was ultimately done. I have seen the idea floating around, and I tend to agree, that scaled loot bonuses based on number of stars would be a better way to do this. You get 1 star, you don't win much of a bonus. You 3 star someone, you get a sizeable reward. It seems to me that that type of a system (keeping the trophy requirements, of course) would allow more loot to flow into the game, while also promoting players to gain trophies and destroy as much of the opponent's base as possible.

    Just my opinion, but the bonuses as they stand are negligable. I, and I'm sure many others, have intentions of leaving my town hall outside, and hanging around my normal farming range. The cost of moving up in the leagues doesn't adequately compensate for the tougher opponents, and until it does, farming will remain unaffected.

    PS: Please bring levels back. It was replaced with the only thing in the game that is even more meaningless: trophies. Yes, trophies still have zero value.

    The bonus doesn't have to come from thin air, especially since it is harder to get loot from storages now. The bonus could very easily come from your opponent

    it should do! if bonuses increase as they should they should come from the defender, thus an incentive to better protect th as nobody wants to lose res from a simple th destroy!

    Really?.....lol.....its been documented that Supercell has claimed to, at one point, raked in over $325,000 a DAY on just CoC. Please dont expect anyone here to highfive them for small sacrifices such is decreasing build times in stuff lol...
