How come when you donate to people on the war map, it doesn't count towards the donations thing next to your name in the clan castle? I mean, you're giving troops to other people! The same thing goes for receiving. This should count towards the count

How come . . .

Because only your top people should be allowed to donate to war castles. As a result only they would benefit from it. Since they likely have their "A friend in need" accomplishment it would mean nothing to them. So since it would only benefit the people who it will do nothing for . . . no need to make it happen.

Second reason, you will end up with people dumping mass amounts of unwanted troops into war castles just to pump up their donation numbers. As soon as you dump the bad troops they pump you full of more to get another donation boost. Because of this and the first reason it is a bad idea to tally war donations.
