7 day "vacation shield" Good every 3 months

It's simple.

Do what's more important to you. Clash or take a vacation.

We're not here to tell others how to live their lives, I'm on the side of the fence that if I ever chose CoC over taking a vacation with loved ones, I'd ask my loved ones to sell my phone and iPad and buy themselves something nice with the money. But that's me.

If someone I don't know or have any relationship with feels that staying up in Champions is too important to risk being away from the game for a vacay, then who am I to judge them. I probably wouldn't let this happen to anyone I cared about though.

I would of thought you of all people, would of supported him :P

he wants to take the vacation, but not lose his trophies as well! lol


/ to the other guy, its obvious to most people, IRL before a video game.

the OP just wants to be able to get the shield so he can enjoy IRL, without suffering a rank loss.

It's the truth, you are not important in my honest opinion and you opinion means nothing until you can actually put yourself in his shoes. The guy wants to go on a vacation for a week, and put the game down without losing his rank/trophy count.

also by your comment, because this is a game, its not important and your rank means nothing and shouldn't?
any professional gamer, should not be worried about time away from the game they play? they should not worry about how there rank could drop drastically from being away for a week? also that guy who's #1 should not worry about losing that VERY VERY hard earned spot?

The guys obviously hard working and dedicated and wants the ability to buy a shield once every 90 days, that's not asking for much.

I could honestly never put myself in his shoes. . . especially not when the predicament in which he finds himself is self-perpetuated.

All that aside though, its just life isnt it? I participate in some 'real life' competition (none gaming) and if I skip practise to go away, to go to the pub or if I miss a competition, I dont receive a pass that says it doesnt count. . . I just accept that i've missed out and move on.

This thread is a bit like those a few weeks back when the matching changed and everyone at the top dropped a few hundred trophies, that really amazed me too.

I guess im just not cut out to be the champion of effectively nothing.

Heh. This isn't about taking sides for me. Personally, the way I approach gaming as a balanced part of my life is that real life always trumps games, and if that ever changes, I've gotten too carried away with the game and something needs to change immediately. Again, that's personal to me, may not work for everyone

As for the OP's problem, I would suggest some interim solutions......... maybe if he/she has a second device like a tablet, they can possibly leave the tablet with a friend to log in and/or raid for them while they are on vacation, and they can return the favor for that friend when the roles are reversed. Just a thought.

It is a bit unfortunate 7-day shields don't exist for champs, but I can understand SC's intent to impose such a rule.

I just didn't feel like you had to call me an ar*e, as well as make a comment about me needing help with compulsive behavior..

those are straight blows to me directly as a person. I made a comment about your base/trophy count... not about you as a person.

I know I have a clan mate with a fully maxed base, and only 94M GG? meaning he spent several thousand on the game. clearly he enjoys it a lot, and I'm sure he would appreciate this as well. o.O

haha yep. idk personally i could easily drop the game for several days at a time without a second thought (I have many times) but some people are really committed/addicted.

Have you even read the posts?

You are completely wrong and don't make sense. The OP wants a 7 day shield with a Cooldown every 3 months. Champions don't get a 7 day shield.
