How to crack Kitchen Sink - single player?

I have been stuck at this level for weeks and just can't seem to crack it.
To add insult to injury my 8yo did it in less than 24 hours at the weekend. However even using his troop strategy I still can't get a single star (got close once with 49%).

I have 180 troops all level 3 except barbarians who are level 4. I have been using 24 wizards, 7 giants and the rest archers...

How the heck do I get past this level...???? It's driving me mad...

How about backing up your giants/wizards with a healer or two?

Ok this is what you need;
20 barbarian
50 archers
5 giants
1 dragon
rest balloons

20 barbarians to take out their air defences
50 archers to take the wizards and archers hopefully
Shield the giants with archers
Dragon at the right end where there are 2 teslas
put 2/3 balloons to the archers towers you have not killed

I 3 starred this, apparently, but I can't remember how I did it. I think I just took out the air defenses and ATs, and put down balloons with healing spells by the wizard towers. When I did it, I think it was much easier to beat.

Just aim for the townhall with mass amounts of giants, archers and barbs
Use wall breakers, but not too much

Three lightning to kill the centralized mortar.

Then drop giants on the top on bottom, along with wbs to kill the other mortars and wiz towers. Train 20 giants, but save 5 or 6.

Then archers to kill the archer towers.

Along the storage area, there are teslas. Drop the giants on either side along with some goblins. The giants should kill the teslas while the goblins take care of the resources.

This is how I beat the level. I have three starred every level except rolling terror (****** level 6 teslas) and megamansion

I did giants/healers. I had 3 healers. I started with 5 giants/1healer on the bottom hidden tesla. Then same combo on the north one. Last group in center. Used wb to open a hole near top end of resources, and more wb to open from resources to defenses. I was lucky the air defenses at the bottom killed my healers but my giants finished off the last ground defenses before being killed. They finished off the TH after they killed the 2 air defenses. Used about 20 goblins, one lighting and one heal spell. Only wanted the resources but ended up 100%. I think I got lucky with going counterclockwise through the base after the resources. Clockwise and my healers die to quickly. That's my 2 cents.

I have a level 7 town hall (as does my son)

sounds like I needs to be further on in game to complete it as I don't have dragons or healers etc.

the update made this level harder than it was originally with all the Teslas at one end.
