    You decide!

Not upto leader to decide but every member should have opt out of cw button to toggle on or off.leader can see though how many in clan are opted in.

Agreed. An opt out buttin is badly needed. In my opinion clan wars has ruined this game.

We were a top 5K clan full of adult clashers having fun. Kept getting matched with monster clans who we had no chance in beating. Led to a major clan split.

Please consider an opt out button. Even if it forces clan opting out to be sidelined from clan wars for a certain time period.

Clan wars is really making the game no longer fun for the casual non gemmer who used to enjoy this game.

Beat 60 clans made up of people who take wars as seriously as you do and it might be impressive.
Exactly. I get people being proud of 60+ wins as it does take commitment, but if an opt in is put in place combined with better matching, these people would be crying as they would actual lose some battles.

Your second item is pretty interesting, and is not something I've seen mentioned elsewhere. It would be pretty annoying to have to try to figure out who will make the war roster if people are constantly opting in and out.

I am opposed to the opt-out/opt-in button, and there is some truth to what you're saying here. It's not so much that I think we will start losing more frequently, it's that I don't want our hardcore war clan to lose its identity by welcoming back a bunch of casual players who don't take clan wars as seriously as the rest of us. We created a second clan because the workarounds suggested here became too tedious, and I've grown so used to it that I don't want things to change. When we declare war, the whole clan is 100% invested. What would it be like to have a bunch of spectators along for the ride? Or to include a handful of guys that only war once in awhile, and won't be as sharp as the rest of us? I was strongly in favor of the button when clan wars first came out, and won't be too upset if they introduce the feature, but I'm perfectly happy with things as they are now. War is a clan activity, and not something that a handful of members do on their own.

Again... this makes no sense as if you are a war clan then great. Stay a war clan. You can have the opt button and just not use it because you are all invested in war. Simple.

Now, for everyone else who is not in the hard core war clans?

No one has a response to you lol.

Also, I would be fine with an opt in/out button if these 3 questions were addressed and SC didn't have to take the time to implement it instead of fixing more important matters. I am not opposed to this being implemented, I am opposed to it being valued over most other features.

I'm not sure my clan will remain a "hardcore" war clan if the opt-out button is created. I'd imagine most if not all of the members we sent to our "farm team" would want to come back to the main clan, and just "opt-in" once a week (or whenever they feel like it), which I would not like. It will be another difficult decision to make, just like the decision to break into two groups was when we did it.

If the button is created, I won't be too upset. I can understand why many people want it, as I wanted it myself in the beginning. The idea is too obvious for Supercell not to have considered it before rolling out the clan wars update, so they must have their own reasons why they think it's a bad (or unnecessary) idea, though I would like to know what they are. I just wish they had done it right off the bat if they are going to do it, as so many clans have already split up.

You do realise that there was clash of clans before Clan Wars. It's a relatively new development. Our clan was started in January 2013(over 12 months before Clan Wars), and some of the members have been with us the whole time. These are people I consider friends. Why should I have to kick them out every time we start war or ask them to join another clan just because they don't want to War as often as we do? They're more than happy to donate to War attacks and join in banter and conversations. They just don't want to feel obligated to War everytime.

Yes the argument of just kicking them and inviting them back after search is not hugely difficult and we do it because it's the easiest option. But wouldn't clicking a button next to your name to either opt in or out be even simpler. It also means you don't forfeit your donation stats or elder or coleader status.

My biggest dislike of the current situation is that it is creating a separation between "Those that want to war" and "Those that don't" in the game, as if these two personalities shouldn't be allowed to be in the same clan.
