Y is it to expensive & take a long time to finish?😕

Nah, all wrong.

It gets worse at later TH levels.

Spend the time your builders are busy getting more loot, or spending some more time outdoors.

1.25mil if the loots good, but most of the time i'm finding sub 40K raids at Th6 with armies that take 30min at least to train.
Then again other times i can find 100K+ so really it just depends on when you look.
Just remember you have pratically infinite time to get these resources so don't worry about it.

Also OP by this i'm assuming you have yet to max your base? If so you need to do that before you up your th otherwise you'll just end up with less loot from TH6 and having to attack harder bases with the same loot as when you were th6 for more expensive upgrades.

This is a mobile game meant to be played casually. Like checking Facebook, you check it every now and then. For Clash you get on and raid every now and then. Queue up the next army, and repeat. If you want to play in sessions of a few hours save your gems so you can boost your barracks.

That's not true. If you want to advance in this game beyond TH6. You have to play more than just casually. It's a problem with lots of the freemium games. They're casual games but because of how the IAP is set-up you have to grind your bottom off. Free to play should be called grind or pay. Especially in the later stages of a games the numbers get huge. Than it's grind and pay

that changes - a th8/9 barch army is ready in 20(ish) mins without boosting and at that level you never take a 40k raid. . its not worth it.

As you progress, the targets change, as does the loot. . . understandably so i guess.

I'd not bother for less than 150k.

And to add to that. You don't have an infinite amount of time if you want to progressin a descent fashion.
