In many MMO games that I used to play, we would have 'bots' or plugins that listened to the Clan Chat and relayed that chat back to an IRC channel. This was especially nice because then IRC bots could be set up to listen and perform some key features based on their programming. Things that we would do would be like !Bot List TimeSinceLastWar and it would know because it saw when the last war message was sent out (or someone could start a timer). There were also some nice features like implementing rollers, data tracking, etc. etc. For clash, there would be fewer uses for an IRC bot, but it would be nice to have the chat linked.
This enhanced the social aspects of the game (something that I very much think needs improvement) because we were able to continually sit in the Clan chat while at work, on our phones, etc. Is there any chance of an IRC integration with the Chat system in clash of clans?
