TH 9 pushing (1st time) to Masters - advice?

    Hey there,

I'm pushing up to Masters - I've spent my entire clash life so far in Silver/gold farming, and I've hit a bit of a rut around 2450.

I currently use a farming base - should I just keep hoping that I get sniped so trophy losses are minimal, or redesign in hopes of winning some defenses?

I currently use 24 level 6 loons and 50 level 4 minions. I have great success against any TH8's and early-mid TH9's but can't find any of those up here.

    Any help?

    Thanks in advance!

Master a.k.a. 2600 is really easy.
50% some noobs and townhall snipe and you will get there easy.
2650+ is where it's getting hard.

    Been there done that

Do you have your queen available? If her is level 15+ you'll be in waaay better shape (she's huge for that last few percent)

Your comp looks good. I ran 3 rages and 1 lightening. Some do 2 rages, 1 heal, lighting.

Anyway. I made 2 attempts as a Th9 for masters (breaking into it very very late Th9, basically hitting Th10 as I got into masters).

The big difference for me was realizing that I needed to avoid infernos like the plague. I now use loons to farm in Masters II.

Snipe off bases that allow you to take out archer towers along the perimeter. Particullarly those bases that leave several buildings exposed after this. Then send in the minimum number of minions to clean up those buildings. Use rage to take out an Air Defense or two.

Find bases that are essential Th8 with infernos. Then pick on the TH8 portion of the base. There are plenty to choose from.

FYI - Crystal I is actually rougher than Masters III because almost everyone is farming and protects there loot very well but at the same time is willing to loose trophies to get their hands on yours.

Yes, definitely keep your TH out, and keep an eye on the little guys who snipe you, for revenges. There are so many people sniping to Masters now days. I've got as many as 47 cups that way (stalker alert!) You will hardly ever get more than a 1-star loss, keeping all your resources.

Also, 20 balloons is enough, in my opinion, and 1 spell on average (ideally, none). I mostly used 16 balloons, with level 4 minions, to get to Masters as a TH9, although that was before multi-target infernos. I then spent some gems on finishing level 5 minions, some spell boosting, and made over 2900 before it became a chore. My 2nd account is TH9 now, and farms around 2450, with 16-20 balloons, and basically wins every fight no issues (there are still plenty of TH9 around in C1, and loads of weak TH10).

My biggest advice, on top of what's already mentioned earlier, is simply to be sure to hit Next enough times until you are quite sure you can get 50% on the base, without needing CC or heroes. Then you've got heaps of wiggle room. As you get more practice in picking bases, you'll find 50% is actually quite easy, on loads of TH10 bases - in fact, because so many weak TH10 are in crystal / M3, many are easier than TH9's because towards masters all the TH9 have xbows up and are largely maxed, whereas loads of TH10 have infernos and not much else...

And if you find it hard going around 2500-2550, just spend 10 gems to boost your spell factory, and go wild on the rage spells for a few raids.

thanks guys. I got tired of the grind so I boosted my spell factory, queen, and 2 racks. Made it to 2615 a few minutes ago. Your advice definitely helped.

Now I get to decide if I want to farm here. Pulling it off with loons shouldn't be too hard, curious if I can maintain trophies with Barch. Definitely lots of loot for the taking
